Summary: I still haven't figured out why a stock XFX GTS250 was re-branded as a 9800 GTX+....but it most certainly was! The two graphics cards could not be more different in appearance: the REAL 9800 looks like the accompanying photo...the re-branded one is shorter in length, has a different color scheme (black and green), has only ONE 6-pin power connector (the REAL one has two...), and a short bit of web research turned up the true nature of the imposter!
Summary: Most of my computers in the past were AMD/ATI powered, but with my most recent computer purchase I decided to try Intel and upgraded with this card. It is massive. Not just does it take up 2 slots but it's also a long card, so much so that I had to bend some metal plates in the computer case and re-route cables to make it fit. By no means a plug-and-play card. It all started relatively well. But eventually the system started crashing with all of the games I played.
