Summary: I needed upgrade my video card in my older dell dimension 8100. Since i got an amazon 50 dollar gift card, i thought this might work. There was a gigantic difference between my old nvidia geforce2 mx/mx 400 and the visiontek radeon 2400 pro. the 2400pro handled older games like mx vs atv unleashed at max settings, and need for speed carbon at medium. The card had no problems installing. Overall, this is a very good video card for a great price.
Summary: Totally satisfied with this product when using validated Win2K3 SP2 Server Standard. Come on DX10 for XP... I'm ready for you.. (after my work is done). Sincerely. This AGP adapter worked flawlessly after I re-installed the latest Direct X, corrected chipset drivers, basically followed the rulebook. Great job Visiontek! One Happy Nerd. PS I've only using the included drivers. I've yet to update latest 7.8 from 7.6 (included). Yeah Amazon.
Summary: It's hard to find an inexpensive AGP card with dual DVI. I thought this fit the bill until I went to install the card. The drivers on the supplied CD did not work ("did not detect any devices compatible with this driver"). The ATI Catalyst drivers on ati.com also do not work; their product list is quite specific they only support Radeon 2400 PCI-E, not AGP. Fortunately Visitontek's drivers web site [...] does have a patched Catalyst 8.6 that works with this card.
Summary: Pros: Great movie playback. Decent 3D performance for the occasional gamer. Very slim profile. The card runs cool in my system. I am not sure that the fan is even necessary, but I have a well-cooled case. I have a P4 running at 2.4GHz and an Intel 875 chipset motherboard.
Summary: I brought this card to improve the performance of my computer. After a fairly simple installation, I immediately started having issues with my computer. I installed and updated all drivers for it. but computer started rebooting every few minutes then just constantly rebooting. then wouldn't boot at all. The last screen I got was vertical black and gray lines. Called tech support and they said I had dead video card.
