Summary: All in all a great card. The 290X and other GCN cards have been around for a long time but they have competed with NVIDIA's offering of new and old very well. The 290X performance has improved year by year as did AMD's FX CPUs as software/drivers caught up.
Summary: Great card overall, runs just about every game I've thrown at it on high or ultra (with a bit of tweaking and overclocking). Black and red color scheme fit my case perfectly. Make sure you measure your case though because this is a pretty big sucker.
Summary: One of the most powerful gpu in its time. I bought the Radeon R9 290X to combine with the Corsair Hydro Series HG10. Did have a problem trying to uninstall the fans screws, it was locked down pretty tight. I had to cut one of the screw to removed it, it was a hassle.
Summary: The R9 290X from Sapphire is phenomenal! I'm a gamer and this single card can run an Eyefinity setup at ultra-setting with no lag. Sapphire manages to keep the card running cool and noise level to a minimum.
Summary: I've been through many brands of GPU's over the years for both Nvidia and AMD's. I've always had some sort of of hardware issues. Until I bought my first Sapphire product (6850) a few years ago. I had such a good experience with them that every GPU I bought since then have become Sapphire except 1.
