Summary: The R9 280X replaced an old Radeon 5670. In everyday computing it runs cooler than the card it replaced while being able to run games at 1920x1200 at their highest settings at solid frame rates. The card is quite long, make sure your computer has room. Sapphire recommends a 750W power supply, but I've had no trouble with my 600W. Insure you have three free molex for the two conversion cables, or a 6-pin AND 8-pin PCIE available for power.
Summary: I ordered this card and had to have the first card replaced. It seems some of these cards have heat and fan issues. The first card I got was a bit loud and I thought that was normal. But one of the fans was off centered which really would bug the hell out of me so I contacted Amazon and had a replacement sent out. The Replacement card not only does it not make a scraping sound but the replacement card is way cooler and quieter!

Summary: This is a VERY powerful card for the money. But how do they save that money manufacturing them? Build quality. Pros: 3gb of vram is nice Run all my games at high with ease 300 fps is nice on high quality Cons: At 58C it overheats, or at least acts like it. At 63C people in Watch Dogs get spike knees In every game and even the desktop there are tons of artifacts at 63C. Lime green, purple and white pixels. At 65C lime green lines across the screen.

Summary: I had some trouble getting the card up and running. I built a new computer and installed a 1000W EVGA PSU (EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 80PLUS Platinum Certified ATX12V/EPS12V Active PFC 1000W Power Supply (220-P2-1000-XR) The PSU is modular and provides cables for the 6 or 8 pin connectors GPU cards need for extra power. The first cable I grabbed had an 2 connectors at one end.
Summary: I bought through a third party retailer, WeShipDaily. The first card I ordered came with a cooler fan knocked out of it, and didn't work due to overheating. The replacement, which I'm using now, seems to have some vRAM issues as I get a lot of artifacting at Ultra resolutions in Watch Dogs, and even some artifacting/screen tearing in the original Bioshock, even with VSync on. Great price, but the cards may end up damaged during shipping due to terrible packaging.
