Awesome graphics card
25 June 2014
Summary: I love this thing. For most of my graphically needy games I can run them on high or max graphics settings. Never had a issue with it overheating or dying on me. Would recommend for anyone looking for a upgrade.
Summary: The first thing I can say about this card is that it is massive. Be sure you have the space in your case for it! I replaced a Radeon 6770 with this bad boy, mainly so I could play my heavily modded Skyrim, not that I couldn't play it before on the 6770, but when I started it up with the 7950, it ran smooth as glass in 1080p on my 55" TV. Next I played Batman Arkham Asylum and City with maxed visuals. Smooth as glass. Played Blacklight Retribution with max visuals.
Summary: I was a little bit worried when the description said reconditioned. I plugged it in and it fired right up .I have it cross-fired with another 7950 and I can play any game on ultra high settings with no issues.
Summary: I have been using this to mine crypto currencies and it has been doing a great job. The single card get approximately 500-600 KH/s and is decently power friendly. I can tell by these bench marks that it would work great as a graphics engine.
Summary: New life for my late 2010 Mac Pro! I installed this card nearly a year ago and it has worked continuously since then, day in, day out. OS X Mountain Lion recognized it right away, never had to load a driver. When I upgraded to Mavericks, again, no problem.
Summary: I have had 2 of these in Crossfire for the past year and they are awesome cards! I thought about upgrading recently but the newer cards are ridiculously priced due to everyone thinking they will get rich by mining bit coins, and just running up card prices for us. I am glad I didn't upgrade as it gave me a new project. Since these cards are awesome, but do run hot in crossfire when OC'd, I decided to do my 1st water-cooling project.
Summary: I was hesitant to buy this card, since it says it requires a Mac Pro 4,1 or 5,1 but I'm glad I did. I pulled out my trusty Radeon 5870 and popped this 7950 into my Mac Pro 3,1. I had no issues setting it up in OS 10.9, 10.6 and Windows 7. I was very pleased to see that frame rates went through the roof in my favorite (full screen HD) games. My one and only complaint is that the fan is just slightly louder than the 5870 was. Overall, two big thumbs up!
Gaming machine with some alt currency capabilities
6 March 2014
Summary: I bought this card originally for gaming and boy does it chew through games at 1080p. I've also found out that it is great for mining alt currencies and have been able to make some extra money on the side when I am not using it for gaming. The card has already paid for itself in 3 months! Talk about a great purchase.
