Good card for air
D. Nguyen, Amazon
12 June 2012
Summary: Highly efficient cards for air cooling on stock voltage. They are not the best cards for running maxed out under water. I run water so I didn't really like this card, even though it has much prowess under air.
Summary: Great product overall, easy to setup and overclock. Temps seem to be good too. This is my fist serious gaming card I am not 100% certain yet what is considered to be great, but I think I have a fairly good idea. In my opinion its a pretty good card and for the price that Amazon sells them for its a steal compared to the green team.
Summary: The graphics card itself is amazing and everything just looks so much better and plays so much better but I have had alot of driver issues which isn't uncommon so be prepared for some restarts.
Summary: ***THIS CARD WILL TAKE 3 SLOTS INSTEAD OF 2! EDIT- THIS CARD IS GREAT IF YOU ONLY PLAN TO RUN ONE CARD, HOWEVER EVEN ON MY EXTENDED ATX MOTHERBOARD(I RUN ON THE ASUS IV RAMPAGE EXTREME-Z) TWO CARDS TAKE UP THE ENTIRE BOARD OF 5 SLOTS! IF YOU RUN ONE MONITOR YOU WILL BE SET WITH ONE CARD FOR SURE, HOWEVER IF YOU RUN EYEFINITY LIKE ME, XFIRE IS GOING TO BE A HAVE TO THING SOON WITH UNREAL ENGIE 4 IN ORDER TO KEEP IT AT OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE AND WITH THIS CARD..
Summary: Don't let my review title scare you, this is a very nice card and handles solidly. Pros: very fast and overclocking is one of the best 7970 models It is very cool under load which is a concern for me because I hate having a hot pc. The lack of gtx 680's in Australia has pushed the price over $650 and they are still hard to come by so this card is very good value for money.
Summary: Bought two of these for crossfire and my 3x1080p monitor setup and was very excited to get them and I got them quite fast, 2 days. Now, this is supposed to be a 2 slot card, but it's not, it takes up 3 slots easily, so it's blatantly misleading for those hoping to crossfire on any size board with any other cards in pci slots. I inserted them into my Sabertooth X-79 2011 board and they blocked every slot. No sound card, revo SSD, nothing can fit, not even a network card.
