Summary: Don't get me wrong this card is really awesome specially for the price, I have not OC'ed mine (beyond the Saphire OC) as there is no need to for pretty much any game at 1920 x 1080 resolution, but this card has a great OC potential if you are into that. However it feels like some drivers would really unleash the potential, CCC 12.6 Beta is said to improve performance for the 7XXX series and it does improve it!.
Summary: Replaced my old 5830 with this, very impressed. Keeps cool with temps ~55-60C and the fans are nearly silent. Unbelievable OC headroom makes it a great value (stable at 1150 Core/1225mV/5100 Mem). Runs Skyrim 1920x1080 Ultra settings and HD packs with no problems at all, still not even working hard. Packing includes a 6-pin to molex connector, nice to tuck away the 6/8 pin GPU power cables in the case.
Summary: Issue #1, as soon as I installed the driver from the CD that came with it, I noticed my onboard sound was gone. It turns out that because this has HDMI, it's got its own soundcard and without asking, it makes itself the default device. My monitor is an older DVI model and I like my amped speakers so I changed it back, but it would be nice to be able to let both work since I span my desktop to a big HDTV that I use for watching movies while I work or just when I need the...
Summary: I did some extensive research regarding bang for your buck in my choices of components for a major hardware upgrade to my old desktop machine and the Sapphire HD 7850 OC edition seemed to warrant a closer look. I installed this card on a new Gigabyte Z68 motherboard along with a I5 2500K CPU, Coolermaster 212+ cooler and 8Gbs of Kingston Hyper x memory.
Summary: I am satisfied with this product so far. The performance is great, BF3 on ultra runs great and I have not had any problems with other games as of yet. Easy to install and very quiet, this card is definitely worth the cost.
Summary: So far im extremely satisfied with this card upgraded from a 5770HD. its very quiet, 2gb vram, idles around 28C, its OC, and two fans! BF3 i get +45 fps with most ultra and high settings same goes for the witcher 2 and 60 fps for skyrim. my specs: Amd phenom IIx4 955 3.2ghz Gskill 8gb ram 650w antec psu Asus m4a7xtd evo mobo the only con i would say is it didnt come with second video card lol.
Summary: I have a core i5 2600k CPU and 8GB RAM. This graphics card has played every game I've thrown at it, on ultra settings, 1080p resolution, and achieves at least 40fps (often much higher) with a temperature of 40-50 degrees under load. The most GPU-intensive games I've played are: skyrim, crysis 2, mass effect 3. Can't complain.
