Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 OC Edition 2GB Video Card Review
16 April 2012
Summary: Final Thoughts
The Radeon HD 7850 is one of the best offerings in its segment. These new 7-series cards from AMD definitely hit that sweet spot between performance and price. Being based on AMD’s Graphics Core Next Architecture you get features like Eyefinity 2.0, HD3D, Power Tune Technology and much more. Since the 7850 reference cards have been out for a while we expected to see custom cards come along and this card from Sapphire is one such card.
Pros: Custom PCB, which is shorter than the reference, Factory overclock, Custom cooling solution, which is very quiet, Only $10 more expensive than the nonoverclocked card
Summary: Sapphire has engineered another clear cut competitor in the video card market with their HD 7850 OC. We ran these benchmarks on the same rig as our 7950 review to have apples to apples comparison and also to see if PCI 3.0 would provide any additional benefit. What we found was the HD 7850 OC put up the same benchmark scores no matter if the benchmarks were done on a 2.0 or a 3.0 system.
Conclusion: These tweaks to the clock speed ensure that in scenarios where the 7850 compared favourably to the GTX 560 Ti OC previously that it pulls further ahead and in other places where it was slower, something which is rare, the Sapphire version performs closer to the NVIDIA card.
An impressive version of the 7850 which offers great performance at 1920x1080 while running cool, quiet and on lower power than the competition.
Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 OC Edition 2GB GDDR5 DX11 Video Card Review
Hi Tech Legion

Summary: The Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 OC Edition had very good performance. Numbers were well beyond previous generation and could be considered comparable to the 6950 with less power consumption and smaller size.
The first thing that hit me when I opened the box was the size of the 7850. It is very small at only 210mm of length considering that it is supposed to be a gaming card. When put to a comparison, it is in between the size of a 6770 and a 6870.
Pros: Stock Overclocks, Dual-X Fan, Improved Power Consumption, Good Overclcoking Overhead, Low temperature, Smaller Size From Previous Generations, PCI-E 3.0, DirectX 11.1, Single 6-Pin PCI-E Connection, Good Performance Increase From Previous Generation

Test: Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 und Radeon HD 7850 OC
11 April 2012
Pros: Sehr geringe Geräuschkulisse, Hohe Taktraten ab Werk, Angenehm leise, Hohe Taktraten ab Werk
