Summary: Bought mine through new egg. Seem to work fine and even ran great for a while under Windows 7 64bit. Unfortunately it was too late when I realized I had an issue. The black and grey screens of death requireing hard-reboots started happening when I started actually putting stress on the card with Mass Effect 2. It only got worse when I got a new 23" monitor (upgraded from a 19") and started running a higher resolution. Long story, short-- it is now RMA'd with Sapphire.
Summary: I got this card about 2 weeks ago. It is quiet and performance is quite good -- a big improvement over my GTS 8800 512, however I've had problems with some BSODs when launching games. It only happens when launching, and it happens 100% on some games. It's not power (I have a good 900w P/S), it's not driver (I have the most current from ATI).
Excerpt: Good size, easy install, rapid shipping from Newegg! Won't operate! So I believed that the PSU may well be the issue and spent 160 for a PSU that didn't repair the problem, even though I'd require one later on down the road anyways. I'm sure the card is fantastic, it's a compatibility concern. The MB that I wanted to set up this card in is an older Abit KN8 SLI with a NForce 4 chipset and PCie V1..
Excerpt: I have but to expertise the cards pros. I got the Radeon HD 5700 and It showed no signal. I had a geek squad employee appear at it and he told me it was a poor card. I sent it back and the very same factor occurred with the new card I received. It ought to be a thing else. My slot operates fine it runs other cards no difficulty. My power provide is adequate. I don't know what to do now. The card it's self looks like it would be an amazing piece to add to my pc.
