Summary: This video card will handle anything but the most extreme overclocking environments that only a very few think is necessary. Otherwise you can't beat this for HD video or for gaming. But there are a couple of things that you need to know about this card. First off, Saphire had problems with this card overheating until they changed the cooling system. If yours shows up and it looks like the one in the pictures above, it's the one that overheats.
Summary: Great card. Be aware that if your going to crossfire these that they will work with other HD 5850 chipsets. BUT I'd highly recommend getting the same series (dont mishmash the brands, get the same ones). I had an issue I could not pin down when running this with a reference 5850. I was getting stuttering and pauses in game (BF3). I had spent a lot of time and money trying to figure out what it was. This card simply does not work well with other brands.
Summary: I have used this card for 5 months now and it is fast, powerful and runs cool...usually in the mid 30s. At the time it was a good value too but now used ones are selling for more than I paid new for mine. I run X-plane 9 with it and at a resolution of 1280 x 1024 it will keep the fps in the low to mid 20s in urban areas with most of the settings maxed. I have it driving a Matrox Triplehead To Go and at 3840 x 1024 the frame rate drops badly in urban areas.
fits smaller dimensioned computer cases, great for overclocking!

Summary: This review may be irrelevant given that it's not sold anymore and there, but the one reason I purchased this card in the first place was its dimensions. I own a dell studio xps 435mt. The case is much smaller and so I could only fit a card so long. This card, at 11.5" was the longest I could go. I see that there is now a sapphire 6850, which adds a few features, but is actually slightly slower, especially if overclocked.
Summary: Pretty fast compared to other brands on the same clock speeds and voltages. Bought it to crossfire with my other 5850 and it didn't disappoint me. Only cons is the bad cooling on this thing. Heats up 10C more than my reference 5850.
