Sapphire’s ATI RADEON X1650 PRO graphics card is certified to work with Windows Vista and features full support for OpenGL 2.0 and Microsoft’s DirectX 9.0 with Shader Model 3.0.

Features

Based on an ATI Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), the Sapphire ATI RADEON X1650 PRO offers ATI’s CrossFire technology, Ultra-Threaded Shader Engine and the Avivo video and display platform.

With CrossFire support, this graphics card can be used in a multi-GPU configuration for significant improvements in graphics processing performance.

The ATI Avivo Platform offers hardware acceleration of MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, WMV9, VC-1, and H.264 decoding and transcoding. In addition, Avivo also features the AMD Xilleon TV encoder and two independent display controllers. The latter offers the ability to drive two monitors with independent resolutions, refresh rates, color controls and other settings.

Specifications

The ATI RADEON X1650 PRO is fabricated using a 90 nm manufacturing process and has a total of 157 million transistors. It uses a PCI Express x16 interface for connecting to motherboards and offers 512 megabytes of GDDR2 video memory with a 128-bit memory interface.

This graphics card offers 2 DVI terminals with Dual-Link DVI support as well as a TV-Out (HDTV/S-Video out). Each of the two Dual-Link DVI ports can drive displays at up to a maximum 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution.
