Summary: I have purchased THREE of these cards. The first had a broken fan out of the box and sounded like it was grinding itself to death on a table grinder. The second worked great until it began to grind and one of the fans eventually stopped and FELL OFF.
Pros: Good speed out of box Overlcocks like a monster (competes close to 660ti) If it works out of the box it will run for 1.5-2 years Came with 4 free games to pad the cost and thankfully they are good games Stays very cool(idle 30c) Not loud, but not whisper quiet like some may suggest. Is a bit quie...
Cons: Not a lifetime warranty like you get with XFX They try their hardest not to honor their 2 year warranty Known to fail out of box or very near the warranty end date Cost to use the warranty equals that of the card or two to three times the cost to repair yourself. Their website help tickets are a ...
Summary: I've been with Newegg for 10 years, and this is the first DOA product I've received. I investigate products very thoroughly before buying to have absolutely no risk of it, but it happened. also took a week to get here ordering overnightair. I will RMA this product.
Pros: It was easy to install, came with a game and a powerjack.
Cons: Unfortunately, this card would only work without the drivers. Any driver I used, be it the provided driver CD, the AMD official drivers from the website, or the newest beta drivers, ALL of them provided artifacts: neon tetris blocks everywhere until video froze. I did a fresh install of windows, ...
Summary: Would like a replacement fan shroud, but have had no response from PowerColor, either by e-mail or telephone. Actually talked to someone, but response was "we are busy, call you back". Haven't heard in two days. Very disgusted with this company.
Pros: Don't really have any at this time, well, they were easy to install...
Cons: On power up, the top fans hit the back of the lower card and broke off three fan blades. The mounting screws for the heat sink stick out about an 1/8 of an inch so not much clearance between them. Fans now out of balance and basically useless to me. Very expensive for a poorly engineered product.
Summary: Neues System (i5-2500) mit dieser 6950 und 500W Netzteil (was reichen sollte). Trotzdem in unregelmässigen Abständen - weißer Bildschirm. System hängt. Neuer Treiber (von AMD, von der Herstellerseite) alle Windows Updates (x64), BIOS Update. Nichts half. Mist!
