Summary: this is an awsome card super good for gaming and dual monitors is super fast even faster in sli the sli is amazing i like its compatability with cuda and badaboom this card draws very little power and dosnt produce a lot of heat at all
Summary: Great item! Very quick and nice picture quality. Handles windows 7 nicely, with a graphics score of around a 5 or 6 depending on your system. The fan, however, is very loud and cannot be controlled. After I put a new cooler on it it will be quieter. Would definitely recommend this video card to anyone looking for good performance at a low price.
Summary: Pros: Still a viable card for most games, though you won't be able to play on ultra settings. Bought it to SLI with my other PNY 9600GT 1GB. Cons: Redesigned card is shorter (not a con), but they used a loud fan that sounds similar to a Formula1 race car. I replaced it since the desktop sits next to my monitor. See notes below. Other thoughts: Good performance for a now sub-100 dollar card. It studders a little bit with Batman: Arkam Asylum.
Still works fine and relatively low power consumption
1 November 2010
Summary: Still works with recent games including Starcraft 2. It occupies only one slot in your computer, plus its power consumption is relatively low. I put this on my Dell 5150 which has 307W PSU, one SATA HDD and this 9600GT, works just fine. Upgraders who does not want to change their PSU, this can be a good choice.
Summary: This video card is now one of three in the n force sli mboard running 64 bit OS and it operated at light speeds, I actually have two of these running in sli mode and another powering a second monitor to view any other any other important information about what I anm doing.
