WINDOWS 8.1 ===> Requires Booting and reconfiguring BEFORE you install the card.
9 March 2014
Summary: If you have Windows 8.1 (I got the HP Envy Phoenix), then you will be required to reboot and change the BIOS prior to installing this card. Your HP computer will reject it (due to Windows 8.1) and you need to boot it and change the configs. This link helped out. [...] Otherwise, the card seems to work perfectly fine. Its nice there is no Fan that makes any noise. I onlly gave it 4 stars because Windows makes it hard for it to work under UEFI.
Summary: I am able to run 4 monitors on this card plus another on my main EVGA GeForce GTX460 SE 1 GB GDDR5 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card 01G-P3-1366-TR . I run a mixture of 3 NEC standard aspect ratio 19IN LCD Monitors 1280X1024 VGA/ Dvi-d Spkr Blk Cabinet 3YR Warr and 2 large wide Samsung 2494LW 24-Inch LCD Monitors (Black) . I want to add Amazon gave me an incredible deal on the NEC's. Amazon also gave me FREE TWO DAY SHIPPING. More on this below.
Summary: I used this board in conjunction with the NVIDIA Quadro NVS 295 video card to drive a 6 monitor workstation for data analysis purposes. The Quadro NVS 450 can support 4 monitors at 1920 x 1200 resolution at 24 bits color with no problem under Ubuntu 12.1. Decent desktop performance, video playback is quite acceptable. No 3D capabilities so it's not going to play your video games all that well. One star off for being a bit expensive ($400).
Summary: I had the same problem as others. When I tried to make it come back from the black screen after the energy saver was on my 4th screen would die and not come back until after several restarts. The fix. Bring up NVIDIA Control Panel. Go to View System Topology. Click expand all. It should show the temperature of the card. On my computer it shows as two two monitor cards. Mine were running at 78 and 80 degrees C. wow.
Summary: I've been running this card for several years on various flavors of openSUSE Linux x86_64, from 11.0 to 11.4, and it has done very well. It drives 3 monitors (one 1600x1200 DVI, and a pair of 1920x1200 DisplayPort) via a single DP to DVI cable and a pair of DP to DP cables. It does fine with internet video or movies, but one can see the load when dragging windows, or when a colleague dials in and I share my desktop via VNC, or when performing graphically complex...

Summary: This review is from: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 450 by PNY 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express Gen 2 x16 Quad DisplayPort or DVI-D SL Profesional Business Graphics Board, VCQ450NVS-X16-DVI-PB (Personal Computers) I'm using my 4-screen system. Installation was fine. My result is best on screen 1 and progressively less so on successive screens. I suspect my power supply is not capable of pushing out the requisite power to fully use this graphics board although I'm not certain.
