Summary: Haven't actually used this video card in a while and am WAY late on providing a review. It's quite outdated now by "today's" gaming standards but can honestly say when it was my main video card in that older system it performed flawlessly. PNY makes quality video cards.
Summary: great price graphics and overall shadows, shading, colors and shines look very well with this card. Buy this play with your existing and well look like a new fresh game do to graphic enhancement
Summary: I received this order as described. My WorldofTanks experience improved dramatically! I can scout with fast tanks now. No more skipping. I have received more 'top gun' awards than my previous 6 months of play!
Summary: Decent card for light gaming and everyday work. easily overclockable. If you are tight for money, you could do a lot worse than this card. The only thin I didn't care for was, no external pci power hookup. All power for card is drawn from the pci slot.
Summary: Works well, runs a little hot compared to my old one (an exact replacement) The new fan design doesn't seem to be as efficient, but It's never "bogged down", so I guess it's okay. They don't even pretend that this model has the SLI integration; the "tab" isn't even built onto the board. It's the cheapest model of the 8000 series, so no biggie. It's also obsolete now. If I had known that, I would have replaced it with a newer model for less. Ah well, live and learn.
Summary: If you've a pre-built HP Pavilion or a Dell this is a great card for it's price. You don't need to replace the power supply to install it and it fits the PCIx16 in the Pavilion. Vista drivers work with no problem and the cd drivers really improve performance of the card. The graphics improvement is noticable, very noticable over the integrated crap graphic chipset. Mass Effect for the PC is a completely new game with this card.
Summary: I had a GeForce 6600 and bought Call of Duty 4 The game ran but would freeze after 30+ minutes of play time. The Geforce 6600 was being maxed out buy the call of duty 4 game. I upgraded to The GeForce 8500Gt and the game now runs great no more freezing and the graphics are the best ever.
Summary: If you are looking for a budget video card, this is it. Graphics rocks!. Just take in account the games you are planning to play. The recent ones like Crysis or Far Cry 2 runs on low settings, they demand a lot of graphic power, but for the older ones like Fear, CoH, IL2, BIA, MOHA and others the graphics are great!. And check to have a PCI-e slot on your motherboard!
Summary: I just bought a 24" monitor recently, and this card with its DVI connection is truly the item that tops it off. DVD's like I have never seen before. It also has the power for HD or BluRay. It only requires a 300w power source, which my HP has. I just love this setup. I had a nVidia 6150e in my HP. This is a five minute changeout. Just add the card, and hook up the cable. Run the drivers, and you are in.
