Summary: Easy installation, works good. I installed the driver that was on the installation disk, which worked fine. When I tried to update the driver to the latest version from the web, the performance was terrible. After I rolled back to the old driver, everything was fine again.
Summary: The situation got to the point where the latest version of Google earth would not behave and the latest NVIDIA driver could not find compatible hardware. So, I started looking for a newer video card. I made a good choice. The installations of hardware and software were straight forward and simple in my six year old XP Pro computer. Also, with a fan, it runs cooler than the old card.
Summary: Bought this card to install on a machine that did not have dedicated video card. love the HDMI port and have a 42 inch 1080 TV hooked to it. Looks great. Not a gaming card for sure, but for work applications and internet its perfect.
Summary: I have a 5-year old HP Slimline 5310y PC that needed a video upgrade. I did this last year, but didn't know about the power requirements for the video card. Thus, the card crashed frequently. While I only have a 225-250 w power supply in this PC and this video card is rated for 300 w, it has performed flawlessly for at least 1-month. I did research online to confirm that it would work, prior to purchase, and it has.
Summary: I installed Win 7 in place of XP and had many problems--photos would not load, some videos would not play. IE was unstable, etc. This new video card cured all of the problems and made the computer much faster as well. Installed with no problems. Excellent buy.
Summary: My ASUS M5a97 motherboard didn't have onboard video. I was looking for an inexpensive video card that had HDMI and DVI. This card works great. I don't use my computer for 3D gaming or anything that taxing on the video card, so I can't comment on any high performance circumstances.
