Quadro 5000 works great for my video editing custom build desktop
8 February 2014
Summary: I finish building a mid end desktop custom built for my video editing. Asrock6 Extreme, 17 3770K, 16RAM Corsair, Rosewill 1000 watts PSU, 3TB Toshiba, HP DVD, LG Blu Ray and of course Quadro 5000. I download the NVidia Drivers and this Quadro 5000 works great for my needs.
Summary: Item Specifics – Condition…read as follows: “is fully operational and functions as intended.” This was unfortunately NOT TRUE. I sincerely doubt that Hitech-ASSets even tested this Graphics Card (as they claim).
Summary: I purchased a Dell workstation with a K5000 in it. That's the newer Kepler version, with built-in H264 processing and a bunch more cores. Trouble was, the K5000 isn't officially supported by Adobe Premiere. So, I picked up this 5000, which Adobe supports.
Summary: I ordered this nVidia Quadro 5000 because it was priced some $85 below the Amazon retail boxed version. I know HP is an nVidia Quadro partner and uses these cards in their high end workstations, so I had no qualms about buying it.
