NVIDIA GeForce GTX590

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX590 is a graphics card that is designed with Fermi’s advanced compute architecture and supports raytracing performance in realtime at up to 15 frames per second. It can also perform pathtracing for global illumination to provide users with detailed images which makes it indistinguishable from scenes in computer generated films.

Features

The graphics card support DirectX 11 and tessellation which allows game designers to produce high amounts of geometry in the scene without sacrificing performance. It also allows them to create visual effects such as organic characters with smooth curves, fine surface detail such as thorns, nails, and skin aberrations; vast terrain rendering with complex geometric detail and dynamic level of detail with optimized transitions. The tessellation is done across 16 parallel engines at up to 2 billion triangles per second. The GPU also features PhysX technology with double the amount of CUDA cores for improved performance in physics simulations with over a hundred thousand particles that can be achieved in realtime; and NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround which expands both the width and depth.
