Summary: Silliness aside, this card was a nightmare from the beginning. Within a couple of days of installation, I began having issues like this: i.imgur.com/INFJaVo.jpg. (Guild Wars 2, taken three days after installation.
Pros: - Easy-ish installation. - If it worked, it would have been reasonably priced. - The power supply I ordered at the same time is quite nice. - Awesome at displaying graphics for Minesweeper and/or Spider Solitaire.
Cons: - Officially died 1 year, 9 months, 24 days after receipt. Probably actually died 1 minute, 9 seconds, 24 milliseconds after receipt. - Donald Trump thinks that this is a good graphics card. - Every driver update involved an ever-changing series of trials in order to make your computer function a...
Summary: Make sure all your screws are in tight, I did not put mine in tight enough and it appeared to die. Figured out that the connections were not tight enough and now everything is great.
Pros: Runs every game I have at max settings except Tomb Raider. I can't promise that the rest of my system isn't what's holding it back, my CPU and MB are not top-of-the-line and both are from 2012. The onboard overclocking software is also a huge plus. Overall GREAT GPU for the price. Oh also the two...
Cons: Kinda huge. A little bit finicky on the connection (sort of)
Summary: I used to be on a yearly if not 6 month cycle with upgrades. Nowadays things still changes frequently, but performance wise the games I play and the demands of the applications I use rarely stress the card. My only hope is that the industry could settle on a video in/out standard.
Pros: Purchased this to build a new rig over a year ago and things have gone smoothly. No complaints or issues to speak of. I'm currently using the card to take advantage of a 24" Asus and older 19" Dell monitor setup. The Asus is on DVI as is the Dell. Every now and then I'll push out some HDMI video ...
Cons: Little to speak of. You know what you're getting when you make a purchase here at Newegg.
Summary: I've used this beauty for a year and I absolutely love it. It has served me so well in my first build and I will always remember it. However with the Oculus Rift coming out I cannot run the Rift with this, so I had to upgrade to the MSI GTX 980.
Pros: Doesn't ever really got hot. Runs almost every game at max settings (not ultra). Long life span, I've had this thing for at least a year and it has never had an issue. Great perks when it arrived in the mail, runs great with MSI Gaming App and even came with a cool MSI door handle!
Cons: Slowly aging sadly, it's still an amazing product and a great deal.....If you can't afford more. There are better GPU's now with the release of the new MSI Frozen V GPU's.
Summary: I like the way AMD doesnt price gouge thier hardware. But the GPUs never perform quite like nVidia cards. This R9 has great frame rates and 1080p on most games. Very powerful for the pricepoint. Make your pc way better than a PS4.
Summary: All I wanted to do was play my games but in the end this has been a complete headache, I know its the cards fault I have a proper PSU, RAM, CPU, ect.. MSI is the only brand GPU I ever had problems with. I hate to say it but I guess Nvidia is the way to go at least for me anyway.
Pros: The card looks great and gets decent frame rate when it works.
Cons: Had to RMA within a month, the card got artifacts like mad while gaming and on desktop. two months into my replacement card and now its doing the same thing plus I had to pay shipping just to get the replacement $17 extra bucks down the drain now ill probably have to replace the replacement.
Pros: Well... at least it played PacMan at 60 frames.
Cons: Honestly though, it was great for the first five months. I hardly overclocked it, and after 5 months of use, it started artifacing in every game. If you don't know what that is, look it up and then figure out if you think you can keep playing games when that glitch happens.
Pros: When it was working, gave the expected results. The benchmark was very good considering the price.
Cons: The card worked for a few weeks then started to show problems, ie. the screen would frozen and painted one color. It happened repeatedly, each time forcing a reboot. I returned the card to MSI and they sent me a replacement card (could be a new or a refurbished as per their policy). The replaceme...
