  • Summary: It wasn’t long before we managed to get our hands on one of AMD’s latest lines of GPUs, the R-series. MSI were kind enough to send us their own R9 270x HAWK, which features the Twin Frozr IV cooler, overclocked cores and perhaps a little bit more than that.
  • Pros: Silent, Good performance
  • Cons: None

  • Cons: Very high multi-monitor and Blu-ray power consumption, Relatively big price increase over reference design

Hi Tech Legion
10 October 2013
  • Excerpt: I’m not much into commercials but I happen to get a kick out of the one with the guy who asks the children if more is better. I have always believed that more is better as long as it is not in excess. I like a nice balance of the more at not so much of the more price.
  • Pros: Price, Out of the Box Performance, Military Class 4 Components, Dual plate VRM and PCB Heatsink, Dust Removal Technology, Extra Overclocking Headroom, Voltage Check Points, No GPU Throttling Under Heaviest Loads, DirectX 11.1, Crossfire Capable, 8 + 2 PWM, 3-Year Warranty
  • Cons: Twin BIOS strictly for LN2 Use, No DVI to HDMI Connector

  • Summary: Pour commencer, que peut-on dire à part, oui cette R9 270X est une bonne HD 7870, mais voilà on est clairement face à du rebadgage, et certains consommateurs se sentiront lésés face à une telle attitude de copier/coller.
