Reliable, and excellent for older (2013 and earlier) games

Anonymous, Newegg
5 January 2016
  • Summary: For a lowest-budget gaming computer's GPU, you're probably looking at this or a GTX 750 Ti (or a newer AMD APU, but I have no relevant info about those). The 750 Ti is more powerful, and the 7770 is cheaper. I want to upgrade soon, but my experience with this card has been excellent.
  • Pros: Runs older, still-relevant games e.g. Skyrim very well on very high settings Can run new games (even Fallout 4, syas Youtube), on low settings Lasted about 4 years now, only sign of wear is some slight sagging Runs fairly cool, even with a low overclock - never over 70 celsius in my experience Ea...
  • Cons: Obsolete in 2016 - Will not support DirectX 12, and 1GB vRAM is becoming inadequate Doesn't quite match the power efficiency of newer low-end video cards

Great Card for the price

Danny B., Newegg
16 January 2014
  • Summary: This card has made me happy for almost a year now. I am able to play Diablo 3 and Team Fortess 2 at max settings. It's not as smooth as my XFX 6870, but at half the price it does a great job.
  • Pros: -Price -$70 after rebate -Performance to value
  • Cons: none

Wrong impressions

Breanna S., Newegg
3 December 2013
  • Summary: To what the reviewer below me said "Iamrebirth" Is HIGHLY WRONG about Battlefield 4 on Max @ 100+ FPS WRONG WRONG. This card only has 1gb of RAM, Battlefield 4 reaaaaaalyy needs 2GB RAM. The 7770 is in between the recommended and lowest recommendations on Battlefields website.
  • Pros: Plays most games at least on medium - High. Team Fortress 2 plays on everything maxed out, including bloom effect and you still get 120-200 fps. Skyrim maxed out = 50-60 fps If you're not playing the newer games especially 1 year from now, I'd recommend it.
  • Cons: Not a good card for newer games. If you'd love to play newer games, like Battlefield 4, I'd have to recommend a different card, preferably the new MSI R9 270x Hawk. The 7770 only runs Battlefield 4 on medium at 40-55 fps. It seems good, but it doesn't stay a constent fps.

  • Summary: the MSI radeon 7770 OC edition is a beast of a card blasts through 85% of modern games on max setting would recommend for enthusiast and beginner alike. only problem i'v noticed with the card is if you take advantage of its massive over clocking potential for too long the card will crap out and blue...

This card is great. Need another one for certain games

Brent W., Newegg
9 November 2013
  • Summary: I would recommend this to anyone for casual gaming. Plays every game I own at 1080p.
  • Pros: Quiet and smooth. I was reading some of the earlier articles in this review and this thing can run anything out right now really. Its so great for the price. Runs most of my games at full settings with out a problem.
  • Cons: Not really a con but I notice in SC2 it does get a little stressed when I play games that have a capacity to have alot of units in the game. Half the reason for that is I run the game on extreme lol. Other than that I think the only con I have is that I can't get catalyst to let me pick what my p...

Performance per buck cant be beat!

Michael I., Newegg
20 July 2013
  • Pros: Plays World of Warcraft at high to ultra settings. 25-40 man raids you need to turn setting down a bit so Im getting a 2nd one to x-fire. Also it's very quiet and never gets hot even after many hours of raiding.
  • Cons: My only con is I needed to buy the 2nd one from another online source since it's discontinued :(

reliable card

Terrence P., Newegg
26 April 2013
  • Summary: great for most games, and will play everything. Price/performance is amazing, then add in the value of the games and it's a blessing lol. Only upgraded so I have play simulation games on high w/ 3 monitor eyefinity.
  • Pros: never failed, quiet, easy install, GREAT FIT. Performed decently.
  • Cons: Not worth it to clock it high if you need more performance (Some people O.C. just to O.C.) Played skyrim on high w/fxaa, ultra 1920x1200 is pushing it to much though.

Not impressed

Tranquil, Amazon
26 April 2013
  • Summary: I purchased this graphics card and sadly I cannot play Guild Wars 2 with it. It's not a super high end card but I expected to get more than 15 frames per second while playing a game like Guild Wars 2. Even with the settings on low I am still getting poor performance.

not very good

Brandon M., Newegg
15 April 2013
  • Pros: Pros are that it is very cool. Does not produce a lot of heat in the computer. The fans are fairly quiet when not gaming.
  • Cons: Cons are the fans rattle on mine at certain speeds. Which makes the card kind of suck. Also the performance isn't that good but it is pretty good, certainly good enough for gaming. Also the card occasionally malfunctions and makes my monitor black out. It also broke completely one time where I ha...
