Summary: Well let's see, this is my 3rd 8600gt/s so I'm pretty used to it by now, but seeing as the MSI NX series version of the 8600 is over-clocked a good amount I'd have to say this is the best one I've used so far. PNY Stock clocked 8600GTS 512mb scored lower on paper than this OC'd 8600gt 256mb so that's rather interesting you'd figure the GTS regardless would be a better performer due to being a higher class but it's not so pointless to even pay more for a GTS.
Summary: This is a good video card for the price. I have two of these running in sli and its kicks but. Granted there are better cards out there but for under $200 u can buy two of these and it will run most games fairly well. I recommend them for any medium priced gaming rig.
Excerpt: My old 6600GT was starting to chug a bit in the new games of today, so i needed another card in the mid range at a low price, the 8600GT was the answer for me. The packaging is fairly minimal, there were some driver disks and other tuning software. Also there was a s-video to y-pb-pr cable and 2 DVI to VGA adaptors. And that is pretty much it, very basic and no nonsense, not even any games! But that doesn't really bother me.
