You can still make use of these legacy cards if you're on a budget like me.

Summary: I'm trying to squeeze that last bit of life out of my Foxconn NF4SK8AA 8EKRS Socket 939 based system. I dual boot Xubuntu 12.04-1 64 bit and Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit. The addition of another MSI NX8600GTT2D256EOC in SLi and going from an Athlon 64 4000+ to an X2 4400 have increased my systems...
Summary: Well let's see, this is my 3rd 8600gt/s so I'm pretty used to it by now, but seeing as the MSI NX series version of the 8600 is over-clocked a good amount I'd have to say this is the best one I've used so far.
Summary: This is a good video card for the price. I have two of these running in sli and its kicks but. Granted there are better cards out there but for under $200 u can buy two of these and it will run most games fairly well. I recommend them for any medium priced gaming rig.
Excerpt: My old 6600GT was starting to chug a bit in the new games of today, so i needed another card in the mid range at a low price, the 8600GT was the answer for me. The packaging is fairly minimal, there were some driver disks and other tuning software.
Excerpt: Kaum eingebaut schon Bericht erstattet! Ich habe die Grafikkarte gestern Abend gekauft und direkt angespielt. Ich muss sagen ich bin baff!!! Ich habe von einer GEFORCE 7500LT zur MSI NX8600GT OC Edition gewechselt.
