Excellent GPU

Hunter B., Newegg
22 November 2012
  • Pros: Plays absolutely everything i throw at it. I am a PC gamer and this card flawlessly plays LoL, WoW, EVE, Rift, dozens of games on Steam including the new Hitman Absolution on max settings!!! Absolution is a tiny bit glitchy at times on max but deff tolerable. The card is SILENT! ... and it looks ...
  • Cons: NONE =)

Replacement purchase.

Try2bcool, Amazon
14 November 2010
  • Summary: I bought this card because the 9800GT that came with my HP computer gave up the ghost after 2 years. I've been extremely happy with the performance of the 9800...it runs everything that has come out in the past 2 years with graphics quality maxed out and at 1920x1200.

Fantastic Card

Christopher S., Newegg
1 October 2010
  • Summary: Replaced an old Geforce 8500 GT card with this and this difference is as clear as night and day. The manufacturer suggests 400w power supply for this card. I have an old, stock 300w PSU and it runs fine. no need to buy a new PSU.
  • Pros: - Games run really smooth. - The fan is very quiet - Stays relatively cool with full load - Great price - Doesn't need a lot of power.
  • Cons: nothing

Good Card, bad fan

Jordan A., Newegg
25 September 2010
  • Summary: Other than my video card having a possible defect on the fan I find this card useful.
  • Pros: This card can run most of my games just fine with little problems.
  • Cons: The fan on my computer is defective. I played one of my games that was at high resolution one day and noticed the display go out. I checked my card to see that the fan was stopping and going, which may cause it to overheat. This card works just fine however.

Outstanding for the money

Steven W., Newegg
19 September 2010
  • Summary: I got one of these on an open-box deal; ten months later, the price I paid (ninety-one bux, shipped) is still a helluva deal. I'm sorely tempted to grab another one for SLI.
  • Pros: Price and performance. Blows the snot out of the SLI'd 8600GTs it replaced. Sold them (seperately) for over half of what I paid for this card. An absolutley solid value.
  • Cons: I didn't get the cable I needed to get audio connected to the HDMI port, not that I'm using it. Not getting that unneeded ($.50) cable saved me almost forty dollars, though.
