Summary: I bought this card for an old Optiplex GX 620. I had read that Nvidia head excellent driver support for Linux, and it does. it runs all multimedia flawlessly, and has no heat issues even though it has no fan as long as the case is properly vented. it breathed new life into an old computer. dismiss reviews complaining of game performance. This card does what it is supposed to, it is not, and was not, designed to be a high end gaming card.
Summary: I have been using this card for a few months for my living room HTPC (home theater PC) and it is a great card for that purpose. The card is compact, silent and it has no trouble outputting 1080p video over HDMI.
Summary: I bought this to upgrade the video card in my Dell Inspiron 531. Not wanting the hassle of replacing the power supply or case (which can apparently be a headache), I decided to give this card a shot. I've had it installed for over a month now and it's running great so far. My Windows Experience Index on Vista was upped from a 3.0 to a 3.7 (the video card itself upgraded from a 3.0 to a 4.9) The upgrade from a 256mb to 1gb isn't as noticable as I'd imagine, but videos are...
Summary: I really like this graphics card. It does the job without any annoying fans needed. Since I am not a gamer, it is fast enough for what I need and I like being able to run 2 monitors simultaneously. I even hooked it up to my HDTV via HDMI and streamed videos from amazon with clear picture & sound. It was easy to install, but I didn't like how it assigned the D-Sub output as Monitor-1 (left monitor). I would have preferred the DVI as Monitor-1.
