Summary: Bought this used for $160 and performance is stellar for a 4 year old piece of tech. I replaced a pair of crossfired hd5770s with one of these on an older 775 socket quad core setup. Breathed new life in to the setup and I am enjoying new pc games on my pc once again.
Summary: This is a great video card. Do not get me wrong. However, I recently had some overheating issues and lo and behold one of the fans is not running on the card. Of course I RMA'd it. The company policy for RMA is that you send them the card and WAIT ONE TO TWO WEEKS for them to send it back to you. I have NEVER had this kind of RMA policy with a tech company before.
Summary: I bought two of these cards recently; yes with the awesome deal a few weeks ago. Anyways, I played with a single card for a week; It ran everything smooth as butter. Now, I could have sold the second card, but the price was too good. I finally upgarded from Coolermaster 650W PSU (using Amazon) to the Corsair 850W PSU, and together the two 580GTX's provide the best experience I have had playing any game since the begining of when I have started to play games.
Summary: I will make this short. Note that I am basically happy with this unit. The item came to me in an unsealed box. When I examine it I take it to be a "new" item. THEREFORE I EXPECT IT TO BE IN A SEALED RETAIL BOX. Either with the end flaps sealed or the box fully sealed in cellophane, or what ever that material is.
Summary: As of now I have nothing negative to say, other than the price. But for the money you get a great graphics card. It is very quite and I have never noticed the fans really. It performs really way in new games such as the witcher 2, which looks beautiful with this card. Since a lot of the card is covered by aluminium it gives it feels more quality than I guess those in plastic does.
Summary: Everything about this card makes me very happy. I normally run about 25 degrees celcius on the internet, when gaming I'm maxed out on crysis 2 on all setting, the game plays extremely smooth with no noticeable hesitation and my temps are right around 45 to 47 degrees during the action packed scenes. I am using an Intel 875k on an EVGA P55 motherboard with only 4 gigs of ram.
Summary: Well i decided to go with this 580GTX as i been holding back for awhile now. I currently use a 295GTX. She has seen her days lol! What really made me go for the upgrade was the game Shogum 2. My poor 295 just couldnt handle that amazing game and now this 580 runs it at MAX rez at 1920x1080 wonderful. This cards OC/ ability is amazing and the cooler its equiped with works great.
