MSI builds a quality Video Card that is hard to beat
13 September 2014
Summary: Excellent older tech Video Card! In combination with a I5-2500K and 8GB Ram I can play even the most Graphic demanding games like Battlefield 4 at 26FPS or Metro Last Light at 34FPS at maxed out graphics settings.
Summary: Works great. Had all connective power wiring adapters and extra (short and long) crossfire bridges. All packaging seemed to be there too. No paper instruction manual just a quick start guide. The disk has a folder that says MANUAL but it is empty. This would be a non-issue except that when I first powered it on, 6 green AND 6 RED LEDs lit at the front end of the board. There was no mention of what these meant either in the guide or at their web site.
Summary: this card screams!! for those of you that have monitors that can go above 1920 x 1080p, all settings all high or ultra high full 16 AA and completely smooth frame rates! i run skyrim at 2048 x 1168. it is rather large though not your normal sized gtx 580, make sure you have room if you have a mid tower case.
Summary: I bought these card a couple weeks ago, specifically for Batman and BF3, and coming from having two 560 Ti in Sli mode this was a huge step up in terms of realism in my games. Before, games requiring me to use Msaa or any other direct X 11 features would cause severe lag in my games, but with the MSI 580 Lighting Extreme, I think anyone with a decent system should be set for the next couple years with this card.
Summary: Combining the best of all worlds, the MSI N580GTX Lightning is the best video card I have ever had the privilege to test. The design, the cooling, the overclocking, the performance and just overall, the card screams quality. If you want the best high-end video card on the market, this is it. Summary: I have had this video card for about a year with no issues of screen glitches on any games (including Diablo III). I am impressed on the quality of the fans and the video FPS at 1900x1200. Basic drivers are all that is required, I recommend this card over my EVGA GTX680 just for reliability alone. The fans have increased with time but it is still negligable inside my case with the cover on.
Summary: I bought this card and have been using it for 3 weeks or so. So far I am very impressed. At first I didn't mess with over-clocking it because it ran every game I have maxed. However, I later did decide to try over-clocking it further. The software that comes with the card makes this very easy. This was the first time I have ever over-clocked a card and I got my card up to about 885 MHz without increasing the voltage.
