Great performance, but runs hot

Nicolas B., Newegg
17 October 2012
  • Pros: Runs intensive games like Batman: Arkham City on high settings (low PhysX, but you can't have everything). Also looks pretty cool.
  • Cons: I ran Unigine, a benchmarking program. Most of the settings were on high (though anti-aliasing was off). It pulled ~120 FPS, but the temperature was 100 degrees Celsius for almost the whole test. Airflow in my case is unrestricted; my case temperature is chilly, as is my CPU under stress tests. W...

Not too happy

Mark P., Newegg
30 June 2012
  • Summary: I was happy at first, but not anymore. Looking into RMA options now..
  • Pros: Great card design, love the fans. Never gets hot, rendering impressive. Bought this card because my last MSI card with the twin frozr design is still bombing along, and rock solid.
  • Cons: Well after having this card for about a month, graphical glitches started occurring. Now getting so bad that without even playing a game, windows aero starts getting glitched out. Windows start loosing their frames, or contents, colors start flashing all over. Driver doesn't crash however, and th...

card worked for two weeks

ed p., Newegg
15 March 2012
  • Summary: the reason i gave it 2 stars is that it is a great card when working as my wifes is still running strong. i however dont think these cards are reliable and that msi should look into their manufacturing process and verify whats going wrong.
  • Pros: well built great cooling ability with twin frorzr III. appealing look runs games very well when working.
  • Cons: I built two systems pretty much identical. my wifes system is running fine and dandy and the card performs well. my system on the otherhand not so well. when the computer goes into sleep mode the card does not seem to shut off. when trying to come out of sleep mode the computer does not respond (...

Overhrating

Forhad A., Newegg
26 September 2011
  • Summary: I RMAed my card two weeks ago to MSI, and it still is processing. Hate how newegg requires the box to RMA to them.
  • Pros: Very nice looking card, with above average performance in most games.
  • Cons: My card ran abnormally hot, and hit 99c after 10-15 min of playing crysis. Fans are annoying at 100% load.

Very hot.

Kate W., Newegg
23 September 2011
  • Summary: I cant wait till I get a new card as this one was awesome in the FPS department and a large set up from my 4850.
  • Pros: Can play anything I threw at it at very high FPS. AvP maxed out, BFBC2 maxed out, The Witcher 2 Competely maxed out.
  • Cons: Same prob as the guy below me. Im hitting upwards of 99c on my card playing anything and idling around 48c-55c. After about a hour of gameing my screen goes black sits there then plops back to windows7 but you can hear the game playing in the background. I hopped right on getting the rebate so I'...
