Good video card, iffy fan

GatoRat, Amazon
27 December 2013
  • Summary: A year ago, I'd have given this video card a five star review. However, since then the fans have started to make a buzzing sound when the computer first boots or the card is fully loaded and running hot. I almost returned it under warranty, but then the noise lessened.

New? Maybe... Product was not in original packaging, so how would I know?

PMRII, Amazon
5 September 2013
  • Summary: The seller didn't send the item in it's original packaging. It was simply bubble-wrapped and shipped in a plain box. No cables, manuals, connectors or installation media was included.

  • Summary: I bought this card to replace my older GTX 260. It was a big performance upgrade. Temps under load stay around 60c with fan at 75%. I play Far cry 3, Skyrim, and Black Ops II on high settings with no issues. I love it!

Great SLI Solution

Brett Virgo "sono", Amazon
12 November 2011
  • Summary: Plays BF3 at ultra settings in sli. Single card solution is ok if you are under 1920 resolution. Better off with a TI for a single card solution. It is much faster regardless of paper specs. Better than expected quality, rare these days. Stock cooling is good, provided you let the fans breath.

Better than (2) 8800gt's in sli

S. Matthews, Amazon
16 July 2011
  • Summary: I had (2)8800gt's running in sli, Removed them and installed this card. This card is Silent Booting up and Running. I can only hear my case fans and they barely make a sound themselves. It also blows away the sli 8800gt's in games like The Witcher 2.

Craigyboy, Amazon
7 January 2014
  • Summary: I brought this, as part of my SLI setup..but The Seller "The Computer Engineers" sold me a faulty card, which had already been returned by a previous customer. Having resold the faulty item to me, they now refuse to refund my money and I'm having to take it up with Trading Standards.

Excellent.

  • Excerpt: For not a lot of money you get a lot of technology! A card of this price usually doesn't have such a sophisticated cooling unit but this card comes with duel fans meaning the car runs super cool even under heavy gaming loads.
