User Review

William K., Newegg
25 February 2015
  • Summary: Based on the failure of their RMA policy, I won't purchase or recommend any more MSI products.
  • Pros: Fast enough for every game I played. Once I stuck with the right drivers (314.22), it never froze or bluescreened.
  • Cons: The fact that I had to roll back to early drivers is disappointing. But even worse is that both fans on the card failed, and MSI's 36-month warranty is apparently arbitrary and doesn't apply. I purchased the card on 3/1/2012 from NewEgg and submitted an RMA request on 2/20/2015. The response I re...

Good video card, iffy fan

GatoRat, Amazon
27 December 2013
  • Summary: A year ago, I'd have given this video card a five star review. However, since then the fans have started to make a buzzing sound when the computer first boots or the card is fully loaded and running hot. I almost returned it under warranty, but then the noise lessened.

New? Maybe... Product was not in original packaging, so how would I know?

PMRII, Amazon
5 September 2013
  • Summary: The seller didn't send the item in it's original packaging. It was simply bubble-wrapped and shipped in a plain box. No cables, manuals, connectors or installation media was included.

GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB

Matthew J., Newegg
17 March 2013
  • Summary: Be sure to install the video card right because this card has a good weight to it, and not installing it the proper way could damage your mother board.
  • Pros: Duel thermal fans, has a good weight to it. does not feel light cheap or plasticy. Im so happy it will work with my weak 500w ps. Graphics are actually very good, no glitchs during world of warcraft gameplay. Can take up to 99 Cel which is almost boiling temp for water. I also play BF and CoD and...

It's good for the price

Stacy W., Newegg
4 February 2013
  • Summary: Does a great job for games that are not crazy hard on GPUs. If you're looking to play MW3 type games, this card is not for you. I am a little disappointed that it couldn't play Shogun3 though.
  • Pros: Works as intended if you know what you're buying.
  • Cons: None so far.

So Far, So Good

Frederick B., Newegg
29 November 2012
  • Summary: Got this for Christmas a year ago. can't see why I would need better, even at this point. maybe in a couple years I'd need better. cheap, and extremely reliable under load. one of the best bangs for your buck out there still, although a 660 will likely be better at this point for cost vs...
  • Pros: comes with reliable stock cooler. power efficient. it down-clocks when idle. cheap, yet still a strong performer. plays all games at full settings, 1920x1080p without any hiccups. runs cool @ full load, even overclocked, with fans @ 55%. looks nice, and fans blow out the back of case, which is good.
  • Cons: seems quite flimsy compared to my old 8800gtx that it replaced, but its also lightweight by comparison. if you don't manually adjust fan speeds in afterburner, it can be loud as hell for not much gain in cooling. the fans by default go banana's under load, even when the card is no where near gett...
