Summary: There are faster cards out there, but for the not so dedicated hardcore gamer this card does what it needs to and it has all the connections one could ask for while still playing all of the latest games on just less than the highest quality.
Summary: MSI has made a truly great product affordable once again. I built a mid level gaming PC a few months ago and decided on an nVidia GeForce GTX 550 TI card because they were the right blend of performance and value for me. I honestly was not expecting it to play modern games at top graphics, but with MSI afterburner, it definitely does.
Summary: For the price of this card, I don't see any reason to give it less than 5 stars. I bought this card as overkill for my new HTPC build so me and the wife could play co-op games if there's nothing we want to watch; it plays Borderlands 2 high/ultra-high settings without issue. For those of you entry level "videophiles", this can run MPC-HC/madVR with any 10-bit encode with no problems whatsoever, although, this is plenty overkill for that reason as well; since we have this...
Summary: I purchased this card to replace an nVidia 7950 GX2 and the performance difference was amazing. This was for my son's PC. He plays WoW, League of Legends, Diablo III, etc, on the highest settings for all of these games and this card rips through them like a hot knife through butter. Videos look sharp, and flash videos have no lag at all. This is a great card for the price. I would purchase another one if needed and also recommend to family and friends.
Summary: The GTX 550 Ti has been a great card. I ordered my first one on January 4th and it was very easy to install. Just pulled out my old 9600 GT and slid this one in the PCI-Express slot. After I booted up my computer it auto detected the driver I needed and installed and rebooted. The upgrade was instantly noticeable. It runs WoW close to max settings with 60FPS in 1080p.
Summary: Was very happy to find the install easier than other cards I've had and the setup was a snap. I had the system back up to gaming in less than an hour and had installed 2 cards in SLI format. These cards are very cool looking in my modded case and definately get noticed by friends who check out my rig. I've been playing mostly an MMORPG (Rift) and played an older FPS (Fallout 3) to check out the graphic response and temps.
