Pros: 2 displays work good. Both on DVI
Cons: Why doesn't the 3rd monitor work when attached to the min-HDMI port? When I enable it from Nvidia control panel, it says "This GPU supports upto 2 displays". Specs of this card says it supports 3 monitors with 3D output. I'm only trying to get 2D output on all 3.
Summary: I got the feeling that the bad board may have been destined for the referb pile because of the need for the SN to match the box. So here I sit $16.20 poorer (shipping back to MSI) and waiting for my replacement which the man at MSI said may or may not be a referb.
Pros: Has a beautiful picture when it's working.
Cons: I installed this in my 3 year old computer while waiting for my new MOBO, CPU< RAM etc to show up and things went great for about a week, then the pix would flash to purple and the computer would lock up, had to unplug it to shut down & reboot. Then it may play fine for a couple of days and then ...
Summary: Took me over a month to figure out that it was the card itself causing the problems, and now I can't return it or get a replacement. Worst purchase I've ever made. Not to mention the MSI rebate is a scam, I bought the card in December and went to the rebate site January 1, and they only allowed me...
Pros: Card runs games great,
Cons: until it blue screens. Any graphic-intensive program causes video drivers to fail and blue screens my system. I'm certain it's the card.
Summary: If the rebate is going to be what decides your purchase--please, keep moving. I had read of this happening to others, but you know how that goes ("won't happen to me"). MSI declined my rebate based on the Invoice not being present--and in the docs pertaining to my rebate--uh, --is the *invoice*!
Pros: Good card--better than the 8800GS I had before. Does what it needs to
Cons: Not really--for the card, anyway. See other thoughts
