MSI GeForce GTX 465 Twin Frozr II

techPowerUp!

  • Summary: When comparing MSI's GeForce GTX 465 Twin Frozr II to the NVIDIA reference design, there is absolutely nothing to complain about. MSI has instead improved on several things. First, and foremost, the fan noise is considerably reduced. Whereas the GTX 465 under full load sounded very pronounced, the MSI version is whisper quiet. If you are looking for a upper midrange NVIDIA card that emits low noise, this is the card to get.
  • Pros: Extremely quiet, Good overclocking performance, Solid performance at lower resolutions, Native HDMI output, Leading overclocking utility bundled: MSI Afterburner, GDDR5 memory, Reasonable price increase over reference design, Support for DirectX 11, Support for NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround, Support for CUDA, PhysX and 3D Vision
  • Cons: Higher power draw than similar ATI products, Future of GTX 465 SKU unknown, might be replaced soon, Falls behind other cards at higher resolution, Price seems a bit high, DirectX 11 won't be relevant for quite a while
