Anthony S., Newegg
3 March 2015
  • Summary: My Build: -AMD Richland 760k 3.8gh quad core -Gigabyte F2-A78M-D3H -MSI Twin Frozr II gtx460 768mb -Team Dark 8gb ram -WD blue 1tb 7200rpm -600watt Thermaltake TR2 -LiteOn dvd writer -Rosewill Challenger mid tower case
  • Pros: It runs all the games i play on high settings with no hiccups. I have owned it for almost a year and I've never had any issues with it. It never gets above 70 C. I mostly play battlefield and counter-strike. When i get games i never have a doubt about its ability to play them.

  • Summary: It's always a little daunting to buy a refurb item like a GPU but this one is a winner! Plugged it in and was immediately good to go.

It's been a while since I bought this but still working great.

Thin Lines, Amazon
18 July 2013
  • Summary: Although I've built an upgraded system since I bought this, I still use the system that this card is installed in and it's continues to perform to my expectations. I haven't had any issues from this great performing and amazing graphics card.

SLI faster than 6970 Lightning and way cooler

MidwestGamer, Amazon
27 August 2011
  • Summary: I own an R6970 Lightning, and 2 of these in SLI. These, in SLI, benchmarked noticeably higher than the single 6970 and run much cooler. Using a CX600 power supply with an 1100T, 2 SSD, HDD, and BR burner on this SLI setup with no issues. Note that 460s are not 3way/4way SLI compatible.

Excellent bang for the buck

Michael C., Newegg
11 August 2011
  • Summary: Ran Unigine Heaven benchmark @1080p at 35fps - not bad for a $150 card.
  • Pros: Awesome card - currently have mine OCed to 900 core, 1800 shader, 2150 memory at 1.062V with no artifacts or stability issues. I believe the thermal envelope for this card is around 100 C, and I never go above 66 C even running Furmark.
  • Cons: It's currently out of stock so I can't buy another one :-(

Really Great Card!

Ben M., Newegg
22 June 2011
  • Summary: Usually I don't install the software that companies give you on their driver disk, but MSI Afterburner is now on all our computers. It is a great tool I use to overclock and cool our cards.
  • Pros: This is an awesome card! It performs wonderfully with all my games, (though I suppose I'm a little behind, I wait about a year for new games. Except for Portal II, which is amazing on this!). Anyways, this card may only have 768mB of memory, but that's plenty.
  • Cons: My board doesn't support SLI? No really, that sucks! No really, I should've bought another and a new board!

Anonymous, Newegg
29 May 2011
  • Summary: I DID NOT BUY MINE OFF NEWEGG, I am very loyal to the 'EGG' however. complete system details.. DAILY DRIVER ------------ AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE (3.2GHz) Deneb ASUS M3N78-EM (AM2+) NVIDIA nForce 720a - HDMI mATX (BIOS 0601) Scythe SCSK-1100 100mm Shuriken Rev.
  • Pros: pricing, got mine on sale. MSI Afterburner looks, I have a windowed case size, not very long or too big and still was able to install TV card. major upgrade from GTS 250 (also MSI, Twin Frozr I). repeat MSI gfx user..
  • Cons: maybe should have splurged for the 1GB version. maybe..
