Good budget card

Glen W., Newegg
22 January 2015
  • Summary: Overall it's a great card for the $200-230 range. Probably the best atm. I bought it as an alternative to the GTX 970 due to a lack of availability at the time. Figured I might as well save $100 while I was at it since it wasn't supposed to be a long term card.
  • Pros: *Fast enough to run anything max detail as of January 2015 *Good performance to price ratio *Quiet fan
  • Cons: *Runs a little hot (idle 60C, runs 70-75C) *Bulky, just barely fits in a full sized ATX box

Actually good

Sarah M., Newegg
20 May 2014
  • Summary: When I first looked at the card, I didn't want to like it much. the front side looks plain, and a decal sticker on the shroud. This isn't the late 90's or early 2000's MSI. But none the less 300+ fps in a lot of low end games, and 70-80 in most high demand games.
  • Pros: Stays cool, performs, full HDMI slot (I don't like the mini HDMI on a lot of GPU's), runs very quiet.
  • Cons: Full plastic shroud, sticker decal, power connections facing the side panel.

Great Buy

Timothy T., Newegg
3 April 2014
  • Summary: iTS BIG, requires a pretty big power supply to, make sure you have the right power pins on your power supply. Check you case size as well.
  • Pros: 1) Plays all the games easily. 2) I was concerned that a single fan would not cool properly, how ever running the fan at 80% to 90% while I am gaming keeps the card around 50 degrees Celsius while playing BF4 or COD Ghost. Even running the fan at the default of 30% that the MSI afterburner runs i...
  • Cons: the 6 pin 8 pin combo power ports will make you find out for sure if your power supply can handle it.

Good card but

Raymonde L., Newegg
13 February 2014
  • Summary: Maybe i got a default card but i don't know.
  • Pros: I used this card in a lot of games and it is fast. Runs bioshock infinite on hight no problem.
  • Cons: seems week in certain games ( i have to run battlefield 4 on medium or it will fall under 60 fps (40 to 50), wich a lot of user of gtx 770 seems to run on ultra whit no problem so maybe it's my card...

Seemed like it had no issues

Theodore V., Newegg
10 February 2014
  • Summary: People looking for graphic cards ought to look for cards that have a heat sink exposed with fans over it. I find that any sort of GPU's with closed fan systems are not able to displace heat as quickly as many manufacturers claim, no matter what sort of technology.
  • Pros: Fat upgrade from gtx 560 non-ti. Was able to play Battlefield 4 on ultra.
  • Cons: Overheated after a week. I decided to ask MSi to RMA it instead of NewEgg. It was probably the biggest mistake. Note for any MSi buyers or current owners, their customer service is terribly slow and are not too consistent in reply to emails. It took me literally over a month to finally get a repl...

Just got this and Having some troubles

Tyler D., Newegg
5 January 2014
  • Pros: Keeps Cool and a nice fit in my case
  • Cons: Having Some FPS problems not entirely with the card but more compatibility problems. I read most of the reviews and thought that this would be a good card to get for maximum FPS and price range. I get like 30 Fps in borderlands 2 even when im not in battle just standing there. Other games like AC...

Card is great, Newegg is mehhhh

Travis C., Newegg
11 December 2013
  • Pros: - Card runs cool - Looks great - Performance is outstanding - MSI warranty (I think that as a pro because I love their warranty)
  • Cons: - Big. I knew this going in, so make sure you can fit it in your case. - Newegg, newegg, newegg... I purchased this card with the NVIDIA Holiday bundle, and when I received my card, I had no games in the box. I contacted Newegg (after 40 mins on hold to actually talk to someone), and they said th...

  • Summary: I contacted MSI support and opened a "Technical support request" and described my problems in painful detail and all I got back was a (3) "generic" email telling me to read the manual -> REALLY? MSI support is a "joke" as far as I can tell.
  • Pros: Works great / when it works. Runs cool / fans are quiet and GPU Boost 2 is a great addition. Out of the box this card runs @ 1.254Ghz. Will kill any game on "max" settings with +70 (or better) FPS and never gets over 70c in temps (1900x1080). The fan sound on the card is never over 70db. I can't ...
  • Cons: This card has given me more problems then any other Graphics card in history: Nvidia seems to be adding a new driver every two weeks to get it sorted out!?! I'm not sure I can blame MSI or Nvidia but, I get random "lock up" in: BF3, BFBC, Cry2 & 3, Sniper Elite V2, Metro LL & 2033 (and others). T...

Fast, but how do I overclock

Anonymous, Newegg
5 June 2013
  • Summary: I am stepping up from a MSI GTX 660 Ti OC/PE, so I get a significant performance boost.
  • Pros: It's a 770 and it runs cool
  • Cons: How do I use what is listed on the box? Where is the unlocked bios? Where is the voltage control? I bought this card so I could perform serious overclocks, but I am achieving pretty standard levels despite this card having GPU Reactor and other features which should set it apart. It's a Lightning...
