Summary: Not mad at newegg or MSI, want to give them a fair chance so I filled out RMA and will ship it back tomorrow to see how it goes. If MSI or anyone has any suggestions, I'm open to this but I've put in probably 10 vid cards over the years, this went normally but the card just didn't seem to mesh.
Pros: Card looks to be exactly what I need for casual gaming from time to time without begging for huge performance. Was very excited to get this and crack open my HP to put it in.
Cons: Card appears to be DOA as the BIOS beeped rather than let me startup as normally. Sending it back to newegg to see if I can get a 'redo' with another card. Really want to give it a go and see how it works.
Pros: Easy installation, good performance, quiet fan. Good price.
Cons: Tried to upgrade to UEFI GOP vbios (for Win 8) and submitted request to MSI tech support. Received terse response that UEFI GOP is not currently available - no reasons or outlook. Bummer. Buyer beware.
Summary: Great card overall besides those things. and it also laggs a little with two monitors due to it underclocking it's self. I believe they should underclock it less when dual monitors are enabled so it can push more power for the desktop, or tweak the vbios and make it to where it will clock its self...
Pros: PCI 3.0 Quiet Fan Cooling heatsink & fan, Excellent temperatures Idle is 24-28C under load is 50-60C Kepler core technology SMX. TXAA Anti-Aliasing
Cons: Not actually pre overclocked, they say on the box this is the OC edition, but it clearly is not. Here is how, in GPU-Z it read the core Speed on the VBIOS to be set to 1071MHz but if i go to sensors tab to see the speed i am currently running at, under load core speed is at 1058.2MHz which is the...
Summary: everything worked great, once i installed windows 7 instead of windows 8 on my computer... this product is not windows 8 compatible; for some reason the drivers on the disk and the internet would not install completely, leaving me with very few options in safe mode.
Pros: great graphics even with dual screens absolutely no problems so far easy install on windows 7
Summary: This is my first MSI Graphic card and I wasn't exactly pleased with it simply not working in an MSI board. The problem could possible have something to do with the UEFI GOP but I stopped there as theres nothing I can do more if the legacy bios don't work.
Pros: Not a bad price for a capable graphic card; running it in an older machine posted respectable benchmarks on 3DMark. Its roughly 30-50% slower than the 650 Ti. Good cooling, software with it was great.
Cons: Didn't work with MSI 990FXA-GD80V2 AM3+ Motherboard. The motherboard kept posting a 99 debug code and wouldn't allow the system to boot. But the card worked perfectly fine in my Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 AM3+ and my Asus M3N-HT Deluxe/mempipe motherboard. Placing a Quadro FX 4500 and geforce 650...
