I would like to have 3 monitors rather than 2 and I ...

Fred E. Callison, Amazon
1 January 2015
  • Summary: This thing would not work with either of my two laptops (HP Elite and HP Pavilion) or my desktop (which has an high end video graphics card). I would like to have 3 monitors rather than 2 and I spent about 15 hours trying to get this to work.

Unrecognizable junk on the three displays

John Angelich, Amazon
8 February 2014
  • Summary: Disk included does not contain the driver, must get driver on- line. Windows 7 is incompatible? Don't know what the problem is? There is no online help, no number to call for assistance and very little to nothing for instructions included.

Don't waste your time

Raskolnikov, Amazon
25 November 2013
  • Summary: I tried setting up three monitors to a new laptop and it looked awful. I ended up with one green-colored, extended screen that spanned over 3 monitors. I did not waste my time trying to tweak it at that point as it did not appear to be working even close to its advertised performance.

Not sure how to feel

Rosendo Rodriguez, Amazon
19 November 2013
  • Summary: This product did not do what I wanted it to do, I was under the assumption that this would create 3 separate monitor screens when in fact it was just one. The customer service was okay, for the return.

Useless

Icy Y., Amazon
26 August 2013
  • Summary: Matrox has a long way to go. I bought two of these to operate 6 screens after running their compatibility software. Well, the two devices did work but very poorly. Here's why: (1) The software mentioned that I could run screens up to 1280 x 1024. Not true.

Complete garbage

Luis R., Newegg
9 August 2013
  • Pros: Compact in size.
  • Cons: Will not work with every setup, and Matrox tech support is horrible. Matrox products have always been known to be very flaky with its compatibilities and this one is no different. NewEgg nor Matrox will allow a return on this bad product.

Did not work

Justin R., Newegg
28 July 2013
  • Summary: Just plugged the 4 monitors into the 4 ports on the video card (not on the Matrox), all 4 were at 1080p. Unplugged the Matrox until we need to exceed 4 monitors. Would have given this zero eggs if I could. What made it worse was the "No Returns" policy on this item.
  • Pros: Installation was quick and easy.
  • Cons: Setup of the software (monitors / resolutions) was almost a complete disaster. Did not support resolution listed on Matrox site. Wanted it to be 1080p to match the 4th monitor via HDMI. Only one of the three displays ever displayed any video and was at 720p.

Save your money

Jessica Martin, Amazon
17 May 2011
  • Summary: We use this brand at my job. They get hot very quickly and burn out after about 6 months. I have been forced to use these for about two years now. What a rip off. I truly hate these little fire boxes.
