  • Excerpt: Matrox has cornered the market on splitters of this type. The Triplehead2go has an easy set up and is useful for a wide range of applications. The software does have intermittent issues with recent MacOs versions such as Mavericks but they can be worked around. We have had a hardware failures with one of these products before but they are backed by a warranty.

Really only capable of two monitors

James K., Newegg
12 August 2014
  • Summary: I had to update my AMD video card drivers in order to get Eyefinity setup as described above. Unfortunately Dell does a horrible job of supplying the compatible drivers, and the ones from AMD's website don't work. Your best option is the modded drivers supplied by "LeeKM". They work flawlessly for me. Titanfall, Left 4 Dead 2, Skyrim, Dirt, F1, and everything else I play works fine.
  • Pros: It can power two monitors at 3840x1080 (Full HD for two 1080p monitors) at 60hz.
  • Cons: I bought this so that I could connect my three Dell E2414H up to my Alienware M18x R2 at 5760x1080 resolution while only using the mini DP. When you hook three monitors up to this device, it can only power them at a lower resolution. It was close to the resolutions that I used 20 years ago. I believe it was 1365x768 per monitor. The icons are huge and you can see the pixels. The reason for this is it only supports 5760x1080 at 50hz and very few monitors operate in tha...

  • Summary: I love Matrox. And the TripleHead2Go's as well as the Dual's. Nothing wrong with this module at all. Unless you're using it on a Mac. If you're planning on outputting Thunderbolt. This unit will not receive it. You must buy the Digital SE Edition....Yeah found out the hard way haha.

Nice Triple Display Adapter

J. Godden, Amazon
12 June 2014
  • Summary: Purchased this several months ago for a flight simulator cockpit using three 24inch monitors. Work's great. With a little tweaking of settings it does everything as advertised. Every so often when rebooting the computer the picture is all jacked up. Simply unplug and then plug the USB connector. This seems to reset the box and all is well again.

This is the GXM you want.

11 June 2014
  • Excerpt: I use the Matrox TripleHead2Go's to trick my computers into thinking one output is actually 3 wide and expanded over 3 projectors. I had the Digital SE edition and that one is awesome too but I wanted to be able to make 200ft cable runs. By switching to the DP edition I was able to put together a system that has 200ft vga cable runs to each projector for under 1,000$ (including the Matrox, dp - vga converters, and splitter/extenders).
  • Pros: Easy To Install, Easy To Use, Flexibility, Good Graphics Quality, Great Form Factor, Reliable Performance
  • Cons: Can I Get A 4head2go

Great for Flight Simulator

Flying Kiwi, B&H Photo
29 May 2014
  • Excerpt: I have just set up a home flight simulator and by using a Matrox TriplreHead2Go I can drive three 1920 x 1080 displays in extended mode for scenery from one display port which leaves the remaining PC video Card ports for a Flight panel display and touch screen. The result is amazing.
  • Pros: Easy To Install, Good Graphics Quality, Good Value
