Pros: Running a two monitor Photoshop workstation. The card drives a calibrated 19" Lacie using the DVI to Analog adapter. The 21" LCD display is run with DVI and is crisp at 1600x1200. I especially like that there's a heatsink instead of a noisy cooling fan.
Cons: If you want to run games you'll nedd a more powerful card.
Pros: upgrade from a G450, this runs cool, totally symmetrical displays, I run Xinerama on xorg, worked perfectly with my G450's highest modeline, now my two displays are identically configured-- using the mtxdriver-x86_32-1.4.3 beta from the site for parhelia and P650 750, installation was perfect on ...
Summary: I bought this card because it has dual DVI. Its 3D acceleration is not up to today's standards. So be careful if you need to use it with Solidworks. This card is not powerful enough to drive both DVI screens in independent mode with full 3D acceleration.
Summary: This is the cheapest card for dual DVI setup, that's why I got it. Matrox makes good professional cards (not gaming cards) and this is not exception. Beware, when you have two LCD screens hooked up, if you run them in independent mode (taskbar below does not extend to the other screen) then 3D...
Summary: installed matrox 650 fanless 64mb dual dvi AGP card on Abit KV7 (Via KT600/8237) AMD Athlon Barton 2600 with 1 gb mobo used by research mathematician/statistician driving dual Samsung 170T LCD panels (working configuration allows vpn connection on left hand screen directly connected to mainframe...
Summary: Upgraded my home machine from a G450 and 15" CRT to the P650 and an HP2035 20" LCD. The display using the DVI port is outstanding at 1600x1200. Rock solid. I'm not much of a gamer, so I can't comment on 3D performance, but for 2D I don't think it could get much better.
Summary: Upgraded from a G550 to this card and it was smooth and perfect upgrade. Only slight problem is I have 2 crts and the DVI adapters make the cables stick out further and feel like they almost need extra support to be held up. Graphics qualtiy is really great.
Summary: and they've all worked great! amd/nvidia/intel chipsets no problems. The passive heatsink works great! I've used this card on 2 21 inch Sony monitors, and multiple EIZO 19 and 17 inch lcd's from 1280x1024 and down.
