Summary: The IOGEAR USB External HDMI Video Card does what it says, It gives you an HDMI port on a computer where you don't have one or you need another. That being said, it does what I need it to. I purchased it to run a 5th monitor I need for my computer system.
Summary: I have used several different USB external HDMI video cards at my church (two worship spaces, each with projector and two video monitors). The others were were a little flaky and didn't always work right. The IOGear adapter just works.
Summary: I've purchased a few of these over the past several months to outfit some workstations with a dual monitor/HDTV setup and I'll continue to turn to IOGEAR for future use. Everything works as expected and I have seen no problems with picture or sound quality.
Summary: The IOGEAR Card can be very useful in customizing a multiple monitor set-up. Let me explain my set up, so it might help someone else work through their own situation. I have a laptop running Windows 7/64. It has both VGA and HDMI ports. All USB ports are 2.0.
Summary: So I had this hooked up to my Laptop Dock and it worked well for a while, it was really nice for doing work, like editing videos and using 3D modeling programs. Watching videos however, not so great, it couldn't handle full HD video or anything, it would get all fuzzy and pixelated.
Summary: Needed an HDMI connection from an old PC. The external card worked perfectly after I contacted IOGear support for a connection issue. They walked me through the install of a program that needed to be downloaded of the web, and once that was done, presto, it worked great.

Summary: DO NOT BUY IOGEAR PRODUCTS. I was really looking forward to this product as it claims that it fully supports audio and 1920 x 1080 HD video. It works but at a 720 dpi video signal on a 1080 Samsung HDTV.
Summary: Set up was easy and the sound is great. But the quality of the video is not there...seems to be slow at processing the video data when I tried it with my Hulu account. If you are not using it for video this works fine. but I bought it to be able to stream videos from my lapton to my TV.
