Summary: When I purchased this card, I didn't know what to expect. However, it turned out to be a solid graphics addition to my system. This card is all that it is advertised to be. When I installed the card, and rebooted my system, I didn't hear the usual "whine" of a fan motor starting up, and I thought I had done something wrong. It is just that the card is designed so well, and the cooling is so great that you can't hear the thing coming on line.
Summary: Bought this after going through the graphic card bench mark web site. Tried this on HP 6170f with Corsair 430W PSU. Running Windows 7 64 bit system. The fan is a little louder after plugging in this card, but it can be still considered as quiet. The score on Desktop performance for windows Aero is 5.4 and on 3D business and gaming graphics performance it is 6.6. Playing Starcraft II is much smoother on this (with 54 fps) than on the integrated ATI Readon 4200 graphics.
Summary: I used this to replace a GeForce 8000 series card on a 4 year old Win 7 machine. The installation was easy and I immediately noticed improved performance and stability. Despite the fact that it has a large fan, I rarely hear it. I can run starcraft II at 1920x1200 res with moderately high settings on an older machine. World of Warcraft runs at the highest settings without problems.
