Amazing Longevity

Jennifer J., Newegg
15 April 2014
  • Pros: This card has been running for over 2 1/2 years now with NO problems whatsoever. Still runs silent and runs most newer games. I can run Titanfall on Medium Settings with no issues, and when I bought this card it ran BF3 on Max Settings with full FPS which was amazing at the time.
  • Cons: It didn't make me dinner on our first date. It takes up a lot of space, so you need a larger tower for it to fit.

Follow up to my earlier review

Samuel C., Newegg

  • Summary: Great cards for the money!
  • Pros: I have since upgraded to triple monitor Eyefinity @ 4320x900, and these cards handle the load quite well. some games play better than others, due to incompatibility with such high resolutions, but I have no complaints about the performance of the cards themselves. They have been working flawlessl...

Oh AMD, How I missed you!

Brian R., Newegg
18 February 2013
  • Summary: The loudness doesn't bother me much, the case I have right now is a cheapy Antec 300, and aside from making sure you acknowledge just how LARGE this card is it is a great performer even with the 7xxx coming out! (In fact this lil' guy can probably outperform most of the 77xx line)...
  • Pros: This thing is a joy. I thought that buying a 6950 would give me some MAJOR drawbacks but I was wrong, this thing's a wonderful card! Flipping all the settings to ultra is easy and it runs everything I throw at it. No trash drivers or having to use Beta drivers just get the thing to stop overheati...
  • Cons: It takes up two slots, but you should be expecting that one. This is a LOOOOOONG card. Be absolutely certain that your case can handle thing thing because this is LONG! I barely managed to fit it in my case! It comes, currently, 3 1/2mm from touch the front harddrive bays... (I measured... and in...

Awesome!

Mauro serrano, Amazon

  • Summary: Pros: Just received two of these cards today and unlocked all 1536 shaders on both of them. Stock voltate with 900Mhz core clock. ...mining BitCoins Cons: None Other Thoughts: Do not flash this card with a 6970 BIOS. Save a copy of the existing BIOS and then unlock the shaders with RBE.

Bought for bf3 and very impressed

Wesley R., Newegg
5 July 2012
  • Summary: Great card, no problems after 6 months of hardcore gaming with a solid oc but if I was buying a gpu right now I'd go with the reference model (10$ less and quite a bit more powerful)
  • Pros: 3 fans for superb cooling and more overhead room for oc'ing the fans are inaudible through my haf x case Gigabyte's a good brand and I got a solid oc on my card price point is attractive
  • Cons: not the reference model (1 gb as opposed to 2gb model)...and the reference models are unlockable to 6970's shaders, and are currently selling for less so I'd recommend snatching one of those up instead.
