Summary: Installing it was a bit of an ordeal; in addition to the card, I also had to get a new power supply to support it (this is very important. Word to prospective buyers, check your power supply to make sure it's 550W or more.) After the hassle, though, the improvements were immediately apparent - games that regularly ran around 30-40 fps instantly shot up to 60. That was for the first few days.
Summary: You make a "special offer" with a 25$ rebate, you charge everybody 255$, then the next day the offer expires and the price is 225. Plus, to get that rebate on a useless american express card, you have to fill out papers, cut your box and send it via mail, not e-mail. I don't have time for this, the card is good, but the company is not fair to their customers. Thank you for stealing 30$ from me.
Summary: i bought this as a gift for my husband. at first everything was great. he upgraded from a 6970 to the 7950. it ran everything better along with being a lot quieter. he never overclocked it. the temps always stayed around 40 to 50c even with playing games. the problem started to show up after a few weeks.
