Summary: Didn't seem worthwhile to knock off much for the java apps, it's a nuisance but ATI will probably issue a fix.
Pros: This card model is a beast. I've been able to run a majority of my games on highest graphics and keep smooth gameplay with the only drawback being heat. It has plenty of ports and supports up to 3 monitors which is perfect for multi-screen users.
Cons: Didn't come with any cables which wasn't really a problem for me (it does come with a DVI>VGA adapter though), but it might be for others. Also the biggest con I've found is Java apps are blurry for some reason. It seems card specific as java can't offer a fix.
Summary: Other Thoughts: Came up short on memory when trying to run "Rise of Flight" at max settings of 2560 x 1600 on a Dell 31" monitor. I was simply asking too much of it. I exchanged for a Giga-Byte HD 6970 which cost a lot more, but not as much as a Crossfire-x setup.
Pros: Good value for 1 GB card. 3 Year warranty. Probably perfect for a 21" monitor.
Summary: Display Port connections are obviously the next thing, the cards have 2 mDP and 2 DVI, nearly all monitors are DVI, why would you not include adapters for mDSP to DVI? The DVI cables are 3-ft cables.
Pros: Cards feel solid. 6-Pin power connectors make good snug contact. Didn't have to fuss with shifting the card in the slot to allow for a solid connection to the DVI cable in the back of the case. Software with the card makes it very easy to overclock GPU core and memory. Slightly overclocked, temps...
Cons: The DVI cables that come with are so cheap AND short, it's ridiculous to even include. There are no adapters for mDP to DVI, but they give you a CRT adapter? You gotta be kidding. Buying that high end of a card, who would have a CRT/VGA? I suppose for HTPC display screens, but then you wouldn't n...
Pros: games i play: tf2, starcraft 2, cod: black ops, GTA4 I upgraded from a 8800gt with a 620W PSU. The PSU runs it fine. I have a 1920x1200 monitor, but have always ran games in 1680x1050 on high, or medium (gta). Now I can run all games on 1920x1200 on ultra settings with double the FPS of my 8800gt.
Cons: I cant use my 2nd monitor. Second monitor has VGA and DVI-D input. If your 2nd monitor is VGA only it cannot be used. So now I have to find a special adapter: dvi-d female to dvi-i male.
Pros: gutes Preis - Leistungs - Verhältnis, relativ hohe Leistung
