Joe Hubler, Amazon

  • Summary: For the price , the card is faster than I thought it would be and is silent. only down side is it's huge and will not fit in some cases! If you got room and want quiet, this is the board!!!

Making a believer out of a skeptic

Michael B., Newegg
20 January 2012
  • Summary: Even though I spent an extra $15 on brackets, I'm very pleasantly surprised with this card. It boasts much more gaming power for the price than my old 5770 Juniper and does so whilst completely silent.
  • Pros: Silent, well-built, effective, looks totally awesome
  • Cons: A bit large even for a mid-ATX tower. 10.8" long means I had to buy mounting brackets for my hard drives to slot into my 5.25 bays since this card would have easily backed right up to the edge of the HDD mounting area leaving no room for the actual drive or any connections

User Review

17 January 2012
  • Pros: The obvious: performs like a champ, completely silent, looks seriously industrial. Received it at work and it made quite a stir among the geeks.
  • Cons: The Gigabyte label is upside down when viewed through the window of my Antec case. Apart from that, being huge would be a con if it didn't look so good doing it.

Mixed

Eric J., Newegg
15 November 2011
  • Summary: An earlier review points to having the same problem with the black border. There was some suspicion that it was the monitor. Given my experience, where there was no border and no problems with the background (but I had other problems), the monitor was not the issue.
  • Pros: Quiet, fairly cool.
  • Cons: Long - I had to remove a hard drive to make space for this card. My case is an Antec P183 (a relatively roomy case). Refresh problems - running Windows 7 64-bit on ASUS Z8NA-D6C (dual Xeon 2.4 GHz 12GB). When displaying the file system explorer during a SAVE or OPEN operation from various softwar...

Very Happy

Eric J., Newegg
8 November 2011
  • Summary: I am knew to video games but I knew that I did not want to hear a card fan and other cooling fans that I've heard on other peoples machines. Also I did have a pc in the past that I upgraded with a graphics card with a fan that died after two years and ended up using the onboard vga.
  • Pros: Noiseless Plays all games I've tried including the Dirt3 that came with it excellent.
  • Cons: Power Color makes a passive 6850 I would have bought had I known at the time.
