Great Video Card for budget gaming

Roseanne P., Newegg
11 March 2013
  • Summary: Would be nice if it was a 256-bit card, but at its current price, that would be asking too much.
  • Pros: - Price - Specs
  • Cons: This card doesn't like for memory to be OC'ed. Even if I increase by 5 MHz, it becomes unstable. On the other hand, the core clock can be OC'ed as long as you can keep it cool. Currently running @ 820 MHz.

Poor Quality Fan

Hing C., Newegg
16 December 2012
  • Pros: Not a very large card, not very expensive.
  • Cons: Underclocked. The fan started buzzing about half a year in. The whole cooling solution seems to be very cheesy compared to other 6770s.

Great performance on a budget

Jose D., Newegg
16 December 2012
  • Summary: Would have given it 5 eggs but the initial stability issues made withdraw one. My xfx 6770 worked like a champ right out of the box. but again if you're looking for decent performance on a budget it is a great value
  • Pros: So far so good. Had initial stability issues but has been running beautifully ever since!
  • Cons: No crossfire capability unless it's with an apu, but it's stated in gigabyte's description. As stated before, I installed this on my pc running win 7 (amd fx 6100 with a msi mobo and xfx 6770, which was going in another pc). After initial stability issues (everything updated) i was playing games ...

Budget Card

Joseph W., Newegg
27 October 2012
  • Summary: I bought this card from a local store to replace my Radon 5830 and was a little disappointing in its performance in comparison. Still a great card for the price. Returned it thought for a Nvidia gtx 560 ti instead.
  • Pros: Nice graphics card for the price.
  • Cons: None

Don't buy GIGABYTE

Brian D., Newegg
24 July 2012
  • Summary: Too many other quality manufacturers out there. Don't waste a dime on this company until they learn how to treat customers.
  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Card had issues from the start. HDMI port didn't work. DVI port worked but card would start causing graphics glitches after short use, cause reboots, and freeze up in 3d games. RMA'd to gigabyte, but they did nothing but return it to me broken. After a month now, I am sending it back again, suppo...

Cris A., Newegg
28 June 2012
  • Summary: Can do just about any game as long as you tweak it. No issues with driver, I downloaded everything from website. Did not use what came in the box.
  • Pros: Great bang for the buck....specially at $69
  • Cons: Just a rebadged 5770.

Underclocked 6770

Long T., Newegg
10 June 2012
  • Summary: Moral of the story: Do not get this card unless you get the deal at $70.
  • Pros: Got it for $70 + Free Dirt 3 after mail-in-rebate. Best bang for the buck
  • Cons: Underclocked version of 6770, runs only at 775/1000 MHz (compared to 850/1200 MHz for other 6770 cards). This affects significantly to the performance. I was not able to max out even bad company 2 at 1600x900 with the stock speed (or maybe my expectation was too high?!). Managed to overclock it t...
