Card is ahead of its time! Handles pretty much anything you throw at it!

Summary: The Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 5870 (GV-R587UD-1GD) 1 GB GDDR5 SDRAM PCI Express x16 Graphics Card handles EVERY current game I've played (as of March 2013)! This includes Crysis 2 and 3, Far Cry 3, Dishonored, Dark Souls and Skyrim! Granted, at 1900x1080 Ultra settings are a bit choppy. But at High or Very High all looks really good. Card does tend to get pretty hot, but I've also got it crammed into a smaller ATX case.
Summary: Initially without flashing the card's BIOS and installing hotfixes to the horrible AMD drivers, the card experienced multiple issues including crashes, sudden blue-screens, and random screen noise and flickering. I still experience random irrecoverable hangs. Another issue that I have yet to find a solution to is the malfunctioning displayport which has a tendency to experience "link failure" (I've checked reviews on the active displayport adapter, no such problems were...
Summary: This Gpu runs quiet and provides lots of horse power for gaming. I had a 4870 before this and the increase in fps is not as noticeable as I hoped but still there. Honestly 2 4870's would be cheaper and more powerful but down the road I can always add another 5870.
Summary: Get this card if you want to play PC Games on MAX settings. Also if you're video editing because this thing kills. The only dislike I have with it is that the fans will start to make a loud sound after a while and I have to turn them down. I purchased this to replace my crappy Nvidia Geforce GT220. I can't even compare the difference.
