Summary: I have already had to RMA 2 cards to the manufacture that built the computer. I had planned to use both cards in sli. The first card simply did not work. The second card was running at around 74 celcius on idle and would last about 5 minutes while gaming before it shut down.
Cons: Wont wake from Sleep Mode. One ran extremely hot other did not work at all
Cons: first the mouse acted funky, then it held up my computer from booting every so often, ( post beeps are very helpful here) now my computer won't boot with it at all. Gigabyte says look to the seller for warranty, we will see how New Egg Handles it.
Summary: DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER BUYING THIS CARD! When I bought it, it was new and there weren't many reviews to see. There are plenty of reviews now, and most of them are not good! BUY A DIFFFERENT CARD!!!
Pros: I don't see any pros to this card! It has caused me nothing but problems and aggravation and has been removed and replaced with a Power Color 5670 Go Green card!
Cons: The specs for this card looked impressive! I'm using a Gigabyte motherboard (GA-770 TA-UD3 770 R) on this new build and thought I'd stay with a Gigabyte video card. I'm running Windows 7, 64 bit. The card caused problems from day 1. I encountered many of the same problems that other reviewers of ...
Summary: If you're looking for a good cheap motherboard that works great with this card, I am using the ECS P55H-A. It supports crossfire and intel ix chips.
Pros: DDR5 memory, DX11 support, low power consumption, huge quite fan, and runs everything perfectly.
Cons: None for me, but a lot of these other complaints may stem from the fact that their motherboard isn't properly powering their card. Many motherboards have an optional power connector that feeds the video cards and if they were previously using a card that got its power straight from the power supp...
Summary: I will recommend this board for running on an AMD system for a cost effective video board for everyday use and some moderate gaming. Working nicely on my system. Gigabyte MA770-UD3 mobo, 6GB Crucial Balistic CAS 4 800 DDR2, Gigabyte HD5670 video, AMD Athlon X2 6000+
Pros: Like I said before the specs are very nice. What I thought was a dead board is now working fine. When I first tried it, it did not power up. I put my old video card into the new mobo and it worked as expected. I then updated drivers and tried the HD5670 again before calling for an RMA. It powered...
Cons: I only have one complaint. And I am not sure what the cause is. Occationally when coming out of Sleep Mode the monitor is not receiving a video signal and is all black. The system is running fine. I can log in and put the system back to sleep and restart from Sleep Mode and it comes up fine.
Summary: Look for a different brand of video board for the HD5670 chipset. I tried to use the new Gigabyte customer service center website and hit a brick wall. Where you need to enter the model number/name of the product it is grayed out and you are blocked from entry.
Pros: The specs list a lot of good things going for this board. The ATI processor in it have received good reviews. Just what I wanted.
Cons: I have received from Newegg two of these boards. Both DOA. Newegg RMA'd the first one. After the second one arrived and it was DOA, I did a little research. I then found that the PCI-e revision on my mobo was rev. 1.0. Okay my mistake this board is rev 2.0 per label on box. I can't fault anybody ...
Cons: I had the same problem that everyone else had. It worked for a couple of months and now the card doesn't always communicate w/ my monitor. Seriously, I updated something that required as computer restart, and when it started back up a second later it didn't work. The next day it was working for a...
Summary: Follow up to my comments on 3/10/2010 . I exchanged quite a few emails with ATI tech support. Each email from them instructed me to uninstall drivers / reinstall drivers ... and each person on their end seems to have some different technique to do this.
Cons: Flickering brightness in media center. Tech support :-(
