Summary: The video card is HUGE. Very very huge. I don't even think a full ATX case will give it the room its needs. The end of the card literally sits 1/2 inch from my hard drives. Which I think can cause heat issues.
Pros: The video card raised my 3DMark 6000 points. The drivers work great. Reason for purchase is the upcoming Gears of War PC release. Plays Battlefield 2142, Counter Strike: Source, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, at 60fps+.
Pros: I'm using a single card in a Q6600 2.4GHz box running Vista Ultimate x64 - install was smooth, no drivers issues even though I'm using 64 bit.
Cons: If you don't read the installation guide, and you forget to connect the dedicated power cable to the card, your machine will not start up and will make a very loud buzzing sound like it's about to explode! :)
Summary: You really should have a fast cpu to help run one of these. If you going to do SLI, you MUST. i was running a setup with the X2 4600+ @ 2.4ghz. I was barely getting 50 frames in the Quake Wars demo(in SLI!!).Upgraded to the 6400+(a whole gig faster when overclocked) and now i get 67 fps.
Pros: Im back for my performance review. And its great. Runs Oblivion at 1900X1200 with 8SLIAA + HDR + @1080p smoothly. In sli a mite add.
