Good until it wasn'y

Seth P., Newegg
25 May 2014
  • Summary: Just got it back after about 3 weeks from RMA and it STILL doesn't work. Am facing the exact same problem
  • Pros: Took any game that I threw at it on highest settings. Was great and quiet.
  • Cons: Stopped working about a year and half after I bought it. Even bought a new motherboard (not because of the video card though) and it still wouldn't work. Wouldn't show up in either the system browser in BIOS or device manager and wasn't detected by NVIDIA driver program.

RE: $400 headache and hassle

Andrew M., Newegg
2 July 2013
  • Summary: Even Gigabyte's OC Guru is terrible - MSI Afterbuner FTW.
  • Pros: It' been over 6 months since I got the new card (Newegg customer support is AWESOME! Real stand up folks to put up with me. Thanks guys!). It had the very same issue (random, fluctuating black screen) only much less severe. The last time I experienced the issue was about 2 months ago (knock on wo...
  • Cons: Gigabyte tech support. Don't let ANY of their responses to these comments fool you. Their tech support (which I have never contacted any tech support as long as I have been building my own computers) is a joke and it is something that the company should feel ashamed of. As I stated in previous my...

Runs too Hot

Carlos C., Newegg
1 July 2013
  • Pros: The card is powerful; it's a GTX 670 after all. And the card would be perfect for SLI, as it's thin.
  • Cons: The card is supposed to run cool -- tom's hardware has it running at 63 C (when not overclocked) playing Crysis 2. But when I lpay that game, I get temperatures of 78 C, and after a 2 hour session of Total War Shogun 2, it hits 80 C. I had never noticed it got this hot until I wanted to overclock...

No Rebate

Jose L., Newegg
18 June 2013
  • Summary: More on the rebate thing. Newegg should really start cracking down on these companies that advertise this and don't deliver. I guess i should of checked out Gigabytes site before hand to see if their rebate site and phone number that is on the site works because it doesn't work and you cant get a...
  • Pros: Worked well for the first couple of months, and its quite. stays cool when playing games for long periods of time.
  • Cons: after the first 2 to 3 months i started seeing some artifacts here and there. First noticed it in GW2 and also screen will flash randomly when playing D3. Those are the most recent games i played so not sure about others. Also after sending in my rebate information and filling out the paper work ...

Runs great until it burns out!

Brandon D., Newegg
22 May 2013
  • Summary: Buy an ATI unless you love sending cards to the vendor for warranty replacements every 6 - 12 months.
  • Pros: Fluid and fast. Runs quiet and cool.
  • Cons: Like typical Nvidia cards, they burn themselves out (with no overclocking). This one died after 6 months. This is the 4th and last Nvidia card I've owned.

Fun... while it lasted.

William P., Newegg
6 May 2013
  • Summary: I've tried different drivers, resetting the card/cables, etc and none of it has seemed to help. When the card is removed you can here something moving around inside of it now as well. I'm very disappointed Gigabyte. The card was a beast - a perfect 5/5 - but I expect a longer lifespan than 6 months.
  • Pros: Ran Skyrim, Assasin's Creed III, Borderlands 2 like a champ Ate older games alive. Card rarely, if ever, got above 60 degrees
  • Cons: Card worked like a dream and then one day playing Skyrim the fps took a dive off the deep end. I realize I have a lot of mods, but it never struggle bussed like this before. Reran Heaven benchmark and it couldn't get about 32 fps and now displayed artifacts and tearing on parts of the benchmark. ...

Great, when it works.

Nicholas W., Newegg
15 April 2013
  • Summary: This card would be 5/5 if nVidia could get their drivers sorted out.
  • Pros: Great graphic quality, runs quiet, most current games run at highest specs with no issues on single card.
  • Cons: I upgraded from a dual-monitor, GTX470 SLI system on an ASRock Extreme4 Z77 MB with a Core i7 3770k. I run two 24" monitors, and had no issues on wake with the 470SLI. With the GTX600 series, when waking from S3 sleep, only the primary monitor wakes up, and the system will only recognize one moni...

Good but Defective!

Manuel M., Newegg
8 April 2013
  • Summary: * When I received this card, all was working fine, I overclocked to 80% the max that Gigabyte states and about 2 hours of Playing GW2, the drivers crashed... * I couldn't RMA it to newegg since I finished my rig about a month after I bought it.
  • Pros: Great Card! * Keeps very cool, even when OCed. * Great Performance! * Quite Silent.
  • Cons: ... Here is my experience.... Defective on arrival. * Found my drivers crashing frequently when playing games while the card was OCed, even at 20% the max OC settings Gigabyte recommends.

GREAT CARD but DEAD after 8 months

Eduardo G., Newegg
14 March 2013
  • Summary: A $400 Component should last way longer than 8 months. In fact I would wager to say that a card of this caliber should last upwards of 5 years. Now am I going to keep the card five year? Probably not but that shouldn't be a decision made by quality control.
  • Pros: This card can handle almost anything you throw at it...Crysis 3, ARMA 2, Far Cry 3, Hitman Abs...ect at very high setting with frames over 60fps. Runs quiet.
  • Cons: Its has only been 8 months since I purchased the card and it is dead. The screen is covered with artifacts and is no longer playable.
