Summary: My 660OC keep on crashing since the 5th month I bought it (I bought it a bit before x-mas times Dec/2012), now it's just getting worse at crashing..(black screen w/ sound, freeze, crash crash crash) went to tomshardware to speak of the problem and get a solution. Saw another Gigabyte graphics card user having the same problem. I tried many many ways to fix it..even switching it to my x8 PCI-E instead of the PCI-E 3.0 x16.
Summary: This card is extremely easy to set up, just plug it into a PCIe slot and insert the power cable and all's good. This card is brilliant to say the least, it can run battlefield 4 at almost 60 FPS constantly on ultra settings, even when there's complex explosions and stuff! However, I am only giving this card 2 stars as it broke less than a week after purchase, the computer would not power on with the card installed. Also my Amazon prime one day delivery was a day late.
Summary: I am currently using a HD TV as a monitor (until I get a replacement monitor). The TV has a vga socket (which gives the clearest picture at 1920 x 1080), but alas I am unable to make use of it as the screen flashes on & off every couple of seconds. I have tried using both of the DVI outputs from the card (using 2 different types of DVI - VGA adapters) but always the same flashing screen. Obviously I checked and updated drivers & settings etc but to no avail.
Excerpt: Having tested the GTX 660, we're inclined to conclude that Nvidia has done it again -- sort of. While the new GK106-based card is a solid value at its price, AMD has already slashed prices where necessary. thus making Nvidea more expensive than competition with the same Specs.
